What you don’t seem to understand is that I’m not saying they kill MORE people. I am saying they DO kill people. And not just on the roads. We have immigration laws for many reasons, one of them is to protect the lives of Americans. We should enforce immigration law and protect Americans. This is not hard for normal people to grasp.

Every American, whether Republican, Democrat, Independent, or otherwise, should be able to agree that we deserve the most secure, honest, and fair election system anywhere in the world. Secure elections should not be a partisan issue that divides Americans.

How many children are you comfortable with dying at the hands of an illegal person who shouldn’t be here at all and is putting them in danger? Tell that to the families whose children have been killed by illegals on the road. Not just truck accidents, also DWIs. Innocent children do not need to die like this, and in America, we should make sure they don’t. We have laws to prevent this. We need to enforce them, for everyone’s safety. Why do you want to protect a person who broke our laws to be here over an innocent child who is a citizen of this country and deserves to be safe in their own country?

In 2011, the Obama administration began changing how the federal government enforced a longstanding English-language requirement for commercial truck drivers. So the law requiring truck drivers to speak English already existed. However, those changes ultimately led to less aggressive enforcement, culminating in 2016 guidance that no longer required drivers who failed the English proficiency requirement to be placed out of service. Trump is now seeking to enforce the existing English-language requirement more strictly, AND strict enforcement that people are not working illegally as truck drivers, and make it easier for military veterans to become commercial truck drivers.

@Emilyallison40 @MAGAVoice It's okay to say you can deport illegal immigrants, but in practice it is very hard and complex unfortunately. It is not okay to say you want to deport them because they take your jobs and kill people in traffic. Singular incidents especially. That is ignorant.

@lunaanimi @MAGAVoice If there are less workers available the wages typically rise. This is the basic economic principle of supply and demand.

@Emilyallison40 @MAGAVoice The business owner will pick the cheapest option sometimes. If it is an illegal immigrant they will consider the risk. If veterans wanted the job and were qualified and cheap they would already pick them. There's no silver bullet. Also this was already implemented in 2011.
