My Twitter feed consists of dogs and politics. Politically homeless. I just want a world where hard work is rewarded and children don’t starve.

@Lucy_Worsley hi, I would have loved to go to your tour show in Edinburgh but it is almost completely sold out. Are there any plans for other Scottish dates? Glasgow or Edinburgh?

Hi @EDCouncil Please can the roundabout at Baljaffray Park be fixed? It seems to have come loose at the top and the consensus at the park this morning was that it is unsafe for the children to play on. Thanks!

@MonPetitChou11 @TribesBritannia I just find it odd that you can have such disdain for a woman you’ve (presumably) never met, and yet such admiration for another. It’s so extreme. I love reading about them all, but like most ordinary balanced people, no strong feelings either way 😅

@Emma82276796 @TribesBritannia Maybe listen to her claim that she was a “babysitter/nanny”. Not my words, sweetie. If you admire Markle, great. Nothing you can say will change my opinion of her. She lacks integrity, honesty, and respect for others, particularly Her Majesty.

@TribesBritannia Babysitting isn’t the same as being a nanny. Loads of people do babysitting. I did babysitting when I was young but I don’t discuss it regularly. There is something strange about how much people are determined to tear this woman down. Honestly, get a life everybody…!

@TribesBritannia My, what a busy college student she must’ve been. She had a double major, sorority life, and still managed to be a nanny. How did she manage it all??

@EDCouncil The alternative for many families like mine will be to engage private bin uplift services, risking an increase in fly tipping. The council tax we pay is extortionate, and the bin service is now being downgraded. What is the compensating benefit?

@EDCouncil Will you be replacing our recycling bins with larger bins? Our recycling bins are full to the max before every collection, as is our grey bin. In the summer, the grey bin and the food waste bin smell terrible. How do you propose we address this?

A change to general waste collection is coming. From 30 March 2025 your grey bin will be emptied every three weeks.

@aander1987 @Parkerlawyer No, it’s about knowing your child and the things that are important to them. If a mother or father has full custody, of course they will have to do chores and tasks in the house. But having an actual interest in the child is pretty different 😅

This is an unfair argument. Fathers and mothers generally have different responsibilities in rearing children. If you asked mothers about the fathers area of responsibility such as “when was the last time you had the lawnmower serviced? What brand of weedeater do we have? When do we last have the roof replaced? Which style of thermostat do we use digital or analog?” She would not know the answers to those questions that lay in his realm of responsibility. The fact that they delegated responsibilities like “she buys the children’s shoes and does the school run” doesn’t mean he was a bad father.

Preparing a client for a custody trial. I said, “Tell me the name of your child’s teacher, pediatrician, dentist, their shoe size, clothing size, known allergies, favorite food, and best friend’s name.” Client, “Why is ANY of that relevant?” Folks, this is why we trial prep.

Hello, there is a tree that is overhanging the road on Balmuildy Road, on the stretch of road from Mavis Valley dump down to Hilton refuse centre. It’s causing cars to serve last minute as is hard to see from a distance/in the dark as it’s grey.

Hi @EDCouncil Are there any plans to open the changing rooms again at Thorn Park? Opening them as toilet facilities and perhaps space for a little coffee shop would work well and no doubt be well utilised, particularly at the weekends when sports are on on the playing fields.

Milo, a gentle rescue dog from South Africa, has been sentenced to 120 days of quarantine in this UK facility. Standard procedure for a simple microchip malfunction, despite being fully vaccinated and healthy. No walks, no comfort, no adequate shelter. What would you do if this was your pet? Milo is not the only one. I’m calling on DEFRA to do the right thing here: free Milo, fix this awful facility, and review the quarantine rules. Animal cruelty is never acceptable 🐶😢🐾

@OwenJones84 @AnnaMcMorrin The Whip system is deeply undemocratic and should be treated with utter disdain. If Starmer didn’t want to be embarrassed by a vote he should have planned legislation that matched the promises he made to the electorate.

@OwenJones84 @ChildOfAlba @AnnaMcMorrin The whole idea of the ‘whip’ is awful and party politics is awful. MPs should stand for what they believe in, not what they are told to say/threatened with. Good for Apsana, and I’m sorry she has experienced that for the sake of the big game that is politics and party lines.

OK, this is important. Two MPs tell me that this incident involves Labour Whip @AnnaMcMorrin. It is reported that, on the day of the vote on the two child benefits limit, Apsana Begum mentioned to McMorrin that the general election campaign was difficult, in part because she had to be escorted to the count. It is also reported that the general election campaign was difficult because her ex-husband was standing against her. McMorrin then reportedly said that in order to be supported, Begum needed to be a Labour MP - that is, not defy the Whip over the two child limit vote, and thus lose the Whip. It is also reported that Apsana told colleagues afterwards that she was shaken, and felt her request to not talk about this issue in this way was not respectful, and the whole thing had been wholly inappropriate. Now, it's important to stress that Labour MPs have repeatedly emphasised that the problem with Labour's Whipping operation is systemic - not a 'bad egg'. I put these allegations to the Labour party, who tell me: "We do not recognise these allegations.”
LBC@LBC

'This whipping operation seemed disproportionate.' Suspended Labour MP @ApsanaBegumMP, tells @AndrewMarr9 she was 'bullied' prior to the two-child benefit vote, with whips 'weaponising' her past experience of domestic abuse as part of an 'aggressive' whipping operation.
