@MicrobiomDigest If they were run on the same day, machine, settings, etc. as a part of one experiment, then yes. If they were run on independent days, there would be a lot of additional considerations such as normalizing machine settings and voltages, most likely no.

Question for #FlowCytometry #FACS experts: Would it be appropriate to use the same isotype control (marked here with red dots) for samples obtained at different timepoints? Blue dots are different, but red dots look remarkably similar in the colored boxes.

We announced today that mRNA-1283, our next-generation #COVID19 #vaccine, has successfully met the primary endpoints of its Phase 3 clinical trial. The storage, shelf life and pre-filled syringe presentation of mRNA-1283 could alleviate healthcare provider burden and potentially increase access into new settings to serve public health. But this is scary too. Imagine you spent your childhood in hospitals & thought you were going to die in your 30s. You had no plan, no career, now what? My story is about the good, the bad, the beautiful—everything that comes with living through a miracle. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…

The discoveries by Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman – awarded the 2023 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine – were critical for developing effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 during the pandemic that began in early 2020. Through their groundbreaking findings, this year’s laureates have fundamentally changed our understanding of how mRNA interacts with our immune system. They have contributed to the unprecedented rate of vaccine development during one of the greatest threats to human health in modern times.
