I just looked at the price for regalia at my university and I’m shook.
Talked to two friends and they gave reasons as to why they bought it or why they didn’t.
Now I’m curious about others’ experiences with this. Did you buy your doctoral regalia? Why?

@DrAnnaBoucher1 @drjpersian I love this! I had 2 children when I started my PhD, and 3 by the time I’d finished! My youngest sometimes bursts in on online lectures and classes, but my students never seem to mind (they wave back usually!). You absolutely don’t have to choose between parenthood & academia.

We can't even stand in our seats at a concert, it's all social distance. So no, this isn't like a music festival BECAUSE WE CANT HAVE ONE!! They have a bloody mosh-pit here! @ScottMorrisonMP This is a huge slap in the face to the arts.
