People won't connect dropping dead from a heart attack in two months with the 'covid infection that seemed like a cold' they had this week because they'll be dead.

Curious as to how parents feel about their children sitting next to Covid+ kids in unventilated classrooms? Or how teachers in all sectors feel about Covid+ students in their classrooms? As a parent and a teacher I am furious! @AlboMP

My wonderful 4th years surprised me with this for our last class together! It has been an honour and a privilege to have worked with them over the last few years. I will miss them, but I know that the future of the teaching profession is in great hands! @SoE_UON @SueLedger1

I just looked at the price for regalia at my university and I’m shook. Talked to two friends and they gave reasons as to why they bought it or why they didn’t. Now I’m curious about others’ experiences with this. Did you buy your doctoral regalia? Why? @AcademicChatter

@DrAnnaBoucher1 @drjpersian I love this! I had 2 children when I started my PhD, and 3 by the time I’d finished! My youngest sometimes bursts in on online lectures and classes, but my students never seem to mind (they wave back usually!). You absolutely don’t have to choose between parenthood & academia.

@bordergroves I started my undergraduate degree with one child. Number 2 came along in the 4th year of undergrad, and number three was born in the third year of my PhD candidature.
