First day back at work was fun doing sim with FYs No Nick hasn’t escaped from an asylum he’s playing patient & is amazing at it Thank you so much Nick for looking after all things Medical Education & my sim service whilst I’ve been away & supporting me now I’m back 🌟🌟

9 months growing my baby 9 months with them It’s been special Back at work ✨ SO much change in 9 months it’s unreal Made so much easier having 2 wonderful teams in @BoltonMedEd & Resus/Sim, amazing colleagues/manager that make the transition to motherhood & work life easier

H A P P Y 💫 F R I D A Y My fav session of the week was Thursdays Airway sessions with my yr 3s But we’ve had lots of fab sim every day this week : Obstetric MDT IMT Central Line Med student FY1 Sim Complex care Physio Sim Transfer Training I’m ready for the weekend!

We now have yr3 , 4 & 5 students in practice! Whilst delivering teaching to students on Resp wards I could see how welcoming D3/D4 teams have been to our yr 3 students Thank you 💙 There’s so much they can learn from you all Learning is multi professional #UGME

H2 simulation ✨ We supported the team to practice & explore management of collapse & arrest in the waiting room The team are going to explore allocating leadership roles daily for emergencies in 3 areas & would like more sim opportunities in the future 🙌 #simulation

FY1 Induction Sim✨ Opportunity for our new FY1s to get familiar with Trust protocols, escalation options & managing deterioration to prepare for on-calls. It’s also nice to check in with them to see how they are settling in! Looking forward to seeing the other half next week

T E A M 💙 W O R K Clinical and Professional & @BoltonMedEd collaboratively welcomed over 150 new drs to our organisation , ensuring they were familiar with how to get help, use our defib & BLS assessments. And our 41 new FYs had their ANTT/BLS completed in a day! 👏 #teamwork

Successful pilot of application of Human Factors at the Band4-7 divisional day A focus on teamwork & a HF sim ~ meds round with distractions - showcased the likeliness of error We shared best practice, explored managing distractions but importantly had fun whilst learning 💙

Three sims at the same time a floor apart Theatre Sim ~ To test systems for out of hours GI Bleed ✨ Surgical Care Unit ~ we supported team training to prepare for acute emergency situations in multiple locations✨ #simulation #patientsafety #teamresourcemanagement
