@LatitudeFest looking forward to this weekend! Imagine my disappointment to find that #therefreshretreat is flipping MILES away from the arenas, and MILES away from family camping! What a waste of money I forked out 😡

@EmmaWatkins78 With all this in mind, it is essential to remember that Florida insurance regulations have changed since Ian's landfall, which should lower overall loss and limit longer claim settlement times.

Yes it’s still early in the claims processing, but about a week now after landfall according to FOIR 152,183 claims have been filed. The number for Ian was 776,941. If this event it going to get to the Ian size loss some modeling firms suggest need more claims to role in.

@AndrewSiffert Genuine, non-facetious question: could it be because things are worse than post-Ian, and people haven’t been able to file their claims yet?

The Atlantic has had no named storm formations since #Ernesto on August 12. The last time that the Atlantic had no named storm formations between August 13 - September 3 was in 1968. The remarkably quiet period for Atlantic #hurricane activity continues.

@Telegraph And this one… perhaps youngsters haven’t yet had *time* to learn the skills for higher-skilled jobs?

@Telegraph Surely this chart cannot be making the point they think it is? People who are 20-24 haven’t had *time* to stay in a job longer than 5 years!

Driving across Nebraska today and found bit of weather history! No doubt the pre industrial period was nasty. Why are we trying to get back to this level? @ryanweather

We need to stop showing RCP8.5 pessimistic warming scenarios to understand what happens with a future peril that impact the insurance industry.

@EmmaWatkins78 Hello Emma, there is a fault with the signalling system and trains are having to run using one track in both directions, taking turns to go over the affected section. Network Rail are on site investigating the issue ^KJ

Storm Antoni has been named by the @metoffice and is expected to bring unseasonably strong winds and heavy rainfall to the UK 🇬🇧 on Saturday. It's the latest first-named storm since storm naming began in 2015/16. #StormAntoni #Antoni
