One year ago, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution based on the ICJ advisory opinion on Israel’s unlawful presence and demanded that Israel brings to an end, without delay, its unlawful occupation of Palestine by 18 September 2025. Instead, and in defiance of the UN Charter, the ICJ, international law, the General Assembly resolution, and the international and global determination, Israel is further entrenching its unlawful occupation and presence in Palestine through genocide, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing.

Not "preemptive." Illegal. There is no evidence of an actual or imminent armed attack by Iran. This is a blatant violation of the UN Charter. It has no legal basis in the right of self-defense. Now we wait to see how many civilians will die because of this insanity.

I was at Nasser Hospital in #Gaza when it was bombed today. One of my patients, a 17-year-old boy, was killed. He would have gone home tomorrow. If I had been changing his dressings, as I planned to this evening, I probably would have been killed too. Attacking hospitals is a war crime, and it needs to stop.
