Based on the most recent 2025 data, Meru is officially ranked as the Number 2 Milk Producing County in Kenya. 1. Kiambu: Still leads at number 1. This is due to the highest concentration of high-yield breeds and massive processing hubs like Githunguri. 2. Meru: At number 2, has overtaken Nyandarua in daily formal milk collection. 3. Nyandarua. 4. Nyeri. 5. Nakuru / Uasin Gishu: Tied at number 5. Meru has production has risen so high due to the sheer volume being handled by the Meru Dairy Cooperative Union (MDCU). This modern Meru success can be attributed to the following:- Commercial Power: Meru now handles one-third (1/3) of all formal dairy in Kenya. That is a massive economic footprint for a single county. Youth Involvement: Over 35,000 young farmers participated in the 10th Annual Dairy Field Day in June 2025. Farming in Meru is no longer seen as a "fallback" but as a tech-driven business. The 1 Million Goal: The county is currently on a "Race to a Million," aiming to process 1,000,000 litres daily. If they hit this, Meru could realistically challenge Kiambu for the number 1 spot by 2027.

In the process of recruiting young farmers in Nandi and Uasin Gishu who are ready to do proper dairy farming. Registering it as a Dairy Cooperative. Our grandparents/Parents with their little knowledge did this, we must improve it.

East Africa is once again cloudless, bone dry and very windy, thanks to not one but two cyclones sucking every molecule of moisture south toward Madagascar. Cyclones clear the skies for 1000s of km around them.

Pale Marikiti some of us abstained from bringing in stock in January cos it's usually a hard month and opted to work from our locals. Feb got here and we were enthusiastic to go back. Guys, stock that usually takes at most half a day to sell is now taking 5 days!!!

@RKDAVID1 @moneyacademyKE Inflation being at 2.75% has a lot of indications, low purchasing power as a result of reduced incomes, etc. It doesn't necessarily mean the economy is doing well. An inflation of about 5% is deemed healthy than what you're saying at 2.5

Tough times for Kenyans as new Housing Levy and SHIF deductions now take up to 45% of workers' pay, leaving only 55%. This has cut spending power and hurt sales of everyday goods. Here is how before these new deductions and after: — Salary Sh50,000: Sh39 448→ Sh39,273 — Salary Sh100,000: Sh73,385 → Sh73,335 — Salary Sh200,000: Sh142,110→ Sh138,310 — Salary Sh350,000: Sh245,198→ Sh237,273 — Salary Sh500,000: Sh348,285 → Sh336,235 — Salary Sh1,000,000: Sh674,518 → Sh648,718
