@Emperor_Ernest @revenant_MMXX Except you do, that aside yeah input lag will be an issue with any conversion however run-ahead frames that push input lag below the actual real hardware would make up for the large caused via conversion.

The SuperStation is $200 and supports any MiSTer core you want, so basically anything prior to 6th gen, as well as retro handhelds from that era and many retro PCs as well.

@MaxedLuck @revenant_MMXX You can’t downscale to 240p, 480i, or even 480p. You’re stuck at non-native high, HD resolutions. HDMI to av is anything but native, and welcome to lag city. If it were that easy, everyone would just..do that.

@MaxedLuck @revenant_MMXX But you can’t play those games on CRTs or in their actual, native 240p resolution. Shaders are ok but can’t truly replicate an identical CRT image.

@revenant_MMXX Used laptops are unironically the most cost-effective way to emulate 6th gen and older. People will sell shitty laptops dirt cheap (because Win 11 and 10 eat resources), and you can replace them with a linux distro to free said resources.

@ConsoleCraz77 @Wario64 No problem! I speak from firsthand experience. I have the physical PS4 Ultimate Edition and was able to play the PS5 version (i opted for performance mode for 60fps). Transforms the game imo.

This is the dumbest shit ive ever seen. Someone sent me the link this morning and I said it was dumb, essentially a non functional cabinet if it even functions as a storage. Youd have to remove everything each time you flip it. I was told its to make it easier to ask your wife for "permission" to have a arcade.. 😂 If you have to ask your wife for permission like shes your mom thats pretty fucking sad.
