Protected funds were returned by the GC, Public tax money should not be used to re-imburse gamblers when a private company went bankrupt

Obviously it's not a positive email in regards to getting full redress by legally forcing GC compensation but it does give me hope that both LD and BT are intent on going after the directors' assets to add a few more pennies in the pound (and put them behind bars)

@CBarker81 @EmpireFI @FI_o_O It will come from the directors if a, BT believe their to be actionable claim and B, the directors have assets. Unfortunately, their assets are likely to be minimal, so best case scenario is 1-10p in £ back to creditors (us)

@SweetFI1 You think they've put in over 2000 hours of investigative work just to get a small chunk of the insolvency pot at a voluntarily significantly reduced hourly rate?

I'm also not ruling out a government U-turn when they're provided with the full compilation of evidence and all legal avenues have been exhaused, as the email says. Anyhow, it's going to take a long long time so I'll be trying to put it to the back of my mind for the foreseeable

Personally I'm not subscribing to the idea that this is all over just yet. I still think we're in extremely capable hands with LD and, for what it's worth, I don't think Begbies are the bad guys at all. Time will tell in regards to the second point though #footballindex

@badmanfairy Labour MPs have been much more sympathetic throughout this process though. Would be an open goal for them to get thousands on side if elected and £124m isn’t that much to the gov in the grand scheme of things considering we often see billions wasted on fruitless projects.

@mr_nefu See #downingstreetparty. Will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back I suspect. Constant lies, corruption, dodgy deals and deceit from the gov for the last 2 years. One set of rules for them, another for everyone else. People have had enough. Just my opinion of course.

My MP, Esther McVey, has previously confirmed that she wrote to Chris Philp to “pass on my concerns” but she said little else and noticeably didn’t mention redress. If anyone’s in a similar position with their MP, I’ve just sent this follow up email #footballindex
