Trump and Republicans refuse to fight for American families, but I refuse to give up on them. I simply cannot vote to do nothing to help protect them from Trump’s vindictive efforts in exchange for a vague promise from the least trustworthy Republican party in our nation’s history. This is the time to keep fighting to bring costs down and protect the American people.

Now that Democrats secured these wins, it’s time for Leader Thune to keep his promise to schedule a vote on the ACA tax credits in December and we will see to it that he makes good on his word for the millions of Americans worried they won’t be able to afford health care in January.

This is a difficult season of life for me. I’ve known that my mom was nearing the end of her life for quite some time; but it’s one thing to know it and another thing to experience it. And with mom now in hospice, I’ll almost certainly be less active on here for the time being. But I am still going to try to post my Friday refrain because it’s an important reminder to myself (and hopefully others) to rest, recharge, and be mindful that so many of us are facing serious challenges in our lives. So, with all that said: I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. And as always, please be good to each other.
