@DadRogd consent age. I can go ranting for 100 comments more. I am fed up with men blaming women about the hacking of the word “feminism“ when it’s been men who have been hacking it from the very start because it annoys them (no whores no porn seems to be a no go since forever)

@DadRogd in anyway, but mos men ibsist raping prostitutes and filming it is perfectly fine, for ibstance. Still people calling 12 year old boys “boys“, because they are, but a 12yo girls becomes a young person fir the sake of those who think they are “fuckleable“ and want to lower+

Feminism is an utterly useless word. There are so many flavours of it ranging from 1st wave, 2nd wave, sensible women's rights advocates, loony lefties, and worst of all 'intersectional' feminists. It's easiest to damn the whole lot. The good lasses need to differentiate.

A potentially overlooked point about @amnesty labeling Beira’s Place an “anti-rights group” is that it stigmatises the women who *use* it. It implicitly frames traumatised rape victims doing nothing but seeking solace and support as deserving of shunning in “polite society”.

No, this is not how slut-shaming works. Fred is a man, a man who has a kink that he flaunts publicly, including on stage while being filmed. He dresses that way because he gets an erotic charge out of it. He enjoys performing a sexualised parody of what a woman is. If a woman sat on stage during a serious debate, flashing her crotch at the audience while getting steadily drunker and shouting about having sex in nightclubs, that would also be worthy of public comment. The difference is that nobody would feel intimidated by the woman, because she wouldn't be indulging in the obvious power play of a large male fetishist.

@rejserin Sex is a material reality, not a belief. And they are not excluded as “trans“, they are just men like any other men, logically they are not part of women’s rights (except for the “other“ trans you hardly ever talked about, the women self-iding as men)

Here's the thing about the Amnesty list, every organisation listed who is currently fighting it is proving Amnesty's point. Excluding trans people based on manifested belief is by nature anti-rights, which is being proved time and again in every comment section about this.

Translation: oops, didn’t realise people outside our ideological bubble are THIS pissed off about the loss of sex-based rights. We remain implacably opposed to any organisation fighting to retain them, but shove in the words ‘rights of women’ to keep the bigots happy.

There are so many women alive today whose labia minora were completely amputated when they were teenagers or in their early 20s. When they hit menopause, it’s going to be extra brutal because there is nothing to keep moisture in.

The wildest part about POVERTY is how much time it steals. Waiting for buses. Calling assistance offices. Comparing grocery prices. Fighting insurance. Sitting at laundromats. Being poor is a second job nobody pays you for.

@ScotsWhiteBear @OlgaPastor45935 Whatever the amount, are you suggesting that payinh a woman a salary for a senior management job is the same that sexually abusing/raping vulnerable women after a natural disaster and dropping some coins for them after?

@OlgaPastor45935 Maya is paid 100k for Sex Matters. To get that salary normal charities have an income of 5x that sum. She takes around 7% of the charities income.

I love how all the Anti trans charities are reacting in horror at being called out by Amnesty International, that a major charity is warning that it's not safe for trans people to come to the UK. Oxfam has highlighted our fall. The Lemkin Institute has warned of Anti trans rights

@ScotsWhiteBear They are not reacting in horror, they are pretty much laughing it out. Amnesty International suggested two years ago or so that Afghan girls and women could identify as men to not be oppressed. No women’s rights advicate takes them seriously.
