Many girls have reportedly been r@p£d and m0l£sted by men in Ozoro during what is being described as a “r@p!ng festival” in the area. According to multiple reports and videos circulating online, today is said to be the day of this festival in the Ozoro community, and girls are wvrned not to go outside. It is alleged that any girl seen outside could be att@ck£d and r@p£d by groups of men. Foreigners who are unaware of this situation have reportedly fallen v!ctim as well. There is Delta state university in Ozoro, and many female students may not be fully aware of the d@nger. It is distvrbing that something like this could be tolerated in society. This is heartbreaking, and urgent action needs to be taken.

I'm telling you married men that are yahoo boys or criminals. If your wife knows that you're criminal, and she's okay with it, you're not married to a good wife. And she'll most likely raise your daughters to become prostitutes. And your sons to be like you. End.

If I got to a hospital 10 times a year, 9/10 it is because of my eyes. I'll tell you something funny. I didn't get the right diagnosis for my problems until I saw an ophtalmologist. It was a resident. As in, junior registrar that finally gave me comfort after 5 years of visiting

Well your colleagues said they shouldn't call themselves doctors And 9 out of 10 times, when a patient goes to see a "medical doctor" pertaining eye problems, y'all refer patients to the "Optometry Doctors"...or did I miss something?

Working within the framework of one’s competence is a fundamental pillar of medical practice. What truly matters is the patient in front of you not your title: MBBS, OD, PharmD, or RN. Not the cheap change you intended to extort.

Only a professional with low self-esteem would be concerned about who the patient is being referred to, rather than why. There is absolutely no for gatekeeping and safeguarding your “Dr” attachment.

In my years of practice as an optometrist, I have worked with countless GPs and received numerous referral letters from them to investigate conditions as seemingly minor as headaches (HA). Why is this so? Because they recognise that headaches may be associated with serious…

@bintairdrop @poetclem Also, it is important to find out if this px is having any ocular co-morbidities b4 referring. This best prep the surgeon and make his work easy. In my opinion, I don’t think the GP has the required skilled and training to do.

So in the UK, I’ll refer ARMD, ON, AOAG, Cataracts etc to the optometrist? To do what?😂😂😂

@bintairdrop @poetclem Yes bro, it’s important. A px may have cataract and it’s something that can be corrected wit refraction bk to 20/20. Hence at that this stage the risk for having surgery outweighs its benefit. Ophthalmologist would still refer dis px back to an Optom have refraction don b4 anytin

@EDO_High_Chief1 Yes correct when she said she is an “eye doctor”. These are term that can be used interchangeably. However, an Optometrist won’t claim to be an “eye surgeon.” I hope this helps.

@3scoopsofchilin I think Ophthalmologists send patients to optometrists to choose a lens for them

@Dr_Yajii What concerns an gynaecologist with a neurological emergency? And vice versa. You have to work within the scope of your competence. Your argument is flawed and what you intend to do is called gatekeeping.

Ensuring that only MBBS holders use Dr Title in the hospital is for everyones good. Imagine u as a medical Optometrist bearing Dr inside the hospital and they drag you to emergency unit to manage an emergency. You will look funny trying to explaining you are not that type of Dr.
Alfanla Wuraola - Emi Egbon the Laws@i_am_wura

Rather than the every market day gatekeeping, maybe you MBBS drs should write NUC to stop universities from awarding Dr titles to other professions so you can feel secure in practice. Because living life trying to make everyone think you’re superior must be super exhausting.

@Dr_Yajii As an optometrist I know exactly what to do, because I have the needed training. However, if it’s something outside my scope of competence, I should refer to appropriate practitioners. There nothing wrong about working within the scope of your practice.

@Dr_Yajii Using the terming “only MBBS” should use the Dr Title is an affront to my practice and hard work. You should not say such. Also your analogy is flawed. If it’s an emergency that involve a blunt trauma/chemical splash…
