The current set of Governors are one of the weakest set of Governors Nigeria has ever had. You see them all running to APC because they believe they’ve not worked hard enough to deserve a second term or they’ve stolen so much and need APC coverage. Even the Tinubu they’re all bowing to fought with the Federal Government as Governor and stood his ground because he’s ELECTED just like the President. Now we have Governors who bow to the President and the First Lady with no elective power can talk to them anyhow and they keep mute. This is where I raise my glass to my State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, he remains an exception and is out to put his state and his people first. Kudos Nwoke Ike

Nigeria officially has about 210,000 active officers of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG (Yes, you heard it from me. Even though the government officially claims to be paying salaries for about 350,000 police personnel, a large portion of this figure exists only on paper. Through a network of racketeers and proxy beneficiaries across the country, salaries are drawn in the names of non-existent or unavailable officers, with funds routinely remitted back up the chain to senior police officials.) This systemic payroll fraud not only robs the public treasury but also explains chronic understaffing on the streets, poor morale among rank-and-file officers, and the nationwide collapse of effective public policing. Of this number, 11,500 officers, roughly 5.4%, are assigned to guard fewer than 10,000 VIPs. This means that nearly 200 million Nigerians are left to be policed by about 200,000 officers, while a tiny elite class enjoys a disproportionate share of state protection. The more profound and more uncomfortable truth is that well over 100,000 police officers are effectively withdrawn from public policing. They are deployed on guard duty, protecting banks, private homes, schools, shrines, churches, corporate facilities, private schools, farms and land grabbing duties and even militants, rather than securing communities. This is not policing; it is the privatization of public security, and it explains why insecurity thrives while the powerful remain insulated

The illegal IGP Kayose Egberokun took it a notch higher, invading @sowore’s cell this morning with a special killer unit assembled by @PoliceNG Force PPRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi and former killer Squad #SARS Commander Akin Fakorede. They whisked him away to an unknown location.

Solomon Akuma’s Triumph Over the Wicked Bubari Regime Following a rigorous trial perpetrated by the wickedly @MBuhari regime, @SolomonAkuma spent 33 months in despondency, stripped of his freedom over a twitter bant he posted which the regime considered inimicall to its hold on power. During my visit to the FCID detention center in 2020 to see #EndSARS detainees, including Moyinoluwa Olowoyo “Gigabyte” we became aware of Solomon Akuma’s situation through Babatunde Shola of @jayythedope era who had been detained by former President @GEJonathan Jonathan for creating a parody account in his name. We actively campaigned for his Solomon Akuma’s release, soon as Shola was released, however, in an ironic turn of events, in January 2021, we found ourselves detained alongside him at the FCIID in Abuja, accused by the Buhari regime of conduct likely to breach public peace; by then, he had become the de facto president of the detention center. However, in January 2023, he was exonerated by a three-member appellate court in Abuja. By then he had spent time under the looming danger of #COVID19 while in Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG detention, when he was transferred to Kuje prison, Solomon survived a deadly prison break by Boko Haram, he briefly left the prison but opted to return when the terrorists left and he reached out to me. Undeterred, he summoned the courage to pursue his vision of becoming a prominent pharmacist, and then enrolled in the National Youth Service Corps @officialnyscng , and had his passing out parade on March 27th, 2025. His journey exemplifies fortitude and perseverance in face adversity.

📢 The system is working perfectly—to keep Nigerians struggling. 🚨 How does it work? 🔹 Poverty is weaponized – Keep people poor, so they beg politicians for handouts instead of demanding real policies. 🔹 Infrastructure is left broken – If you’re always fighting fuel queues, bad roads, and poor healthcare, you have no time to fight corruption. 🔹 Elections are rigged – The same politicians buy their way back into office, ensuring real change never happens. 🔹 Economic freedom is blocked – High taxes, impossible regulations, and lack of capital stop everyday Nigerians from becoming self-reliant. 📌 How Do We Break This System? ✅ Demand INEC independence, real-time vote tracking, and strict penalties for rigging. ✅ Push for policies that create jobs by removing excessive regulations and government interference. ✅ Hold leaders accountable beyond elections—track what they do, not just what they promise. ✅ Move beyond online outrage—join structured efforts that demand results. 💡 The system thrives on hopelessness. Understanding it is the first step to dismantling it. 📢 Power belongs to the organized. Follow @Step_Up_Naija—let’s demand a Nigeria that works for the people (You and Me). #StepUpNaija #FixNigeria #EndCorruptSystems

BUA Cement reduces ex-factory cement prices to N3,500/bag effective October 2, 2023. ——- - We refer to our previous pronouncements regarding our intent to reduce cement prices upon the completion of our new lines at the end of the year, in order to spur development in the building materials and infrastructure sectors. As per the commitment made to reduce prices and following a periodic review of our operations for efficiency, the management of BUA Cement Plc wishes to announce and inform our esteemed customers, stakeholders, and the public that effective October 2, 2023, we have decided to bring the price reduction forward. As a result, BUA Cement would now be sold at an ex-factory* price of 3,500 Naira per bag so that Nigerians can begin to enjoy the benefits of the price reduction before the completion of our plants. Upon completion of the ongoing construction of our new plants, which would increase our production volumes to 17million metric tonnes per annum, BUA Cement PLC intends to review these prices further in line with our earlier pronouncements by the first quarter of 2024. NOTE: all pending, undelivered orders which had been paid for at the old prices will be reviewed downwards to N3500/bag in line with the new pricing from October 2, 2023. Our licensed dealers are also enjoined to ensure that end-users benefit from this reduction in ex-factory prices as we will monitor field sales to ensure compliance.
