Sirring here getting royally pissed off at the establishment, esp the educational establishment. Isn’t it the role of the school to instill in students their life role is to make the world a wee bit better? Not just master ABCs, but figure out how to be a helpful human being?

Do you think that maybe the individual and the world would be better off in the “Age of AI” if people came to work in the morning with an attitude, not “how can I save my job,” but, instead, “How can I make the world just a wee bit better today?”

Most think “public speaking“ is about talking. I think it ‘s about listening. Sure, there’s stuff I wanna “get across,” but mostly I need to “listen” to audience body language, etc. That guides word choice, tone of voice, my body language. Let’s call it “public listening” instead of “public speaking”
