Everyone tells me to get out of London but where is better? Yes, villages are lovely but most people need to live in or near towns and it seems like the majority of British towns are affected by the same problems as London and many are actually even worse (high rates of poverty, drug use on the streets, crime, etc.). Even if there are still some unaffected towns left, we can’t all flee there. This situation is unsustainable.

@law71419 All immigration is illegal because there was no democratic mandate for it. We consistently voted against mass immigration and were betrayed. Millions need to leave. The alternative is demographic replacement within our children's lifetime.

As I said earlier, these have been really tough results today - including in Wakefield. As the PM has said, this is now a time for serious, calm-headed reflection, because following these results, we must listen and respond, but do so in a steady, thoughtful and reflective way.

@DavidLammy Starmer didn't 'win a huge mandate'. It was a protest vote against the Tories that handed him a majority - and he squandered it. The only change we want is a change of government to one that will put British people first.

As these tough election results come in, we thank and pay tribute to our councillors who have served their communities brilliantly for many years. The last thing the British people need now is Labour turning inward and losing focus on them. Keir Starmer won a huge mandate less than two years ago. Now we must get on with delivering change faster for the British people.
