At least now little girls who dream of Olympic medals will know that biological males can't cheat their way onto their podium...or punch them relentlessly in the face and get a medal for it. Credit to Sharron Davies and Martina Navratilova, who spoke up despite attacks from those who should've known better. They spoke up when it was easier to stay quiet and paid the price in lost income and support.

Peter Canavan and his group seem to have no problem with RTE accepting Allianz 'blood money' as they don't protest at the RTE studios In fact Peter appeared on their Sunday night Allianz show, indirectly accepting Allianz 'blood money' himself He says he's employed by RTE but doesn't feel strongly enough to rip up that contract So RTE don't want to rip up their contract, Peter doesn't want to rip his contract but both passionately want the GAA to rip their contract up I'm sorry but you couldn't make this up

At the @kerrycamogie v @CLGLaois Camogie in @fitzgeraldstad today, there was a really special half-time event- Killarney won 1969 Kerry Camogie Championship but never got the cup as it had ‘disappeared’ ! It was found in an attic before Christmas & so the team came back after 57 yrs. to be presented with it today! Great to see the Killarney Ladies, still hale & hearty & what a contribution many of them have made to the @officialgaa family ever since . Great romantic story on #valentines !! Along with the important work in the debating chamber this week, I also held several meetings in the sidelines, working on key topics. I met with MEP @Sigridfriis, the shadow rapporteur on the CAP opinion file I am leading, as well as my former MEP colleague @ClaudeTurmes of @energy_tag and Algorithm Watch to discuss renewable energy for data centres. I also held productive discussions with executives from @ENTSO_E to discuss grids , and was happy to attend the @EEF_EnergyForum dinner on the grids package. Productive week all in all!
