Today 6 @ICNorcomHigh seniors completed their program at @Norfolkstate and were inducted into the Delta Alpha Pi STEM Club as part of their culminating ceremony. We are so proud of these students and excited for their future…hopefully as STEM educators in @PortsVASchools!

Today, 2 of our amazing coordinators, Darden & Hatcher engaged some @ICNorcomHigh seniors at a camp at @Norfolkstate. These students have participated for 8 weekends & shown interest in getting a math or science degree before hopefully returning to teach in @PortsVASchools!

The Tidewater Education Consortium, consisting of dedicated leaders from Isle of Wight County, Portsmouth and Suffolk Public Schools in collaboration with Norfolk State University and University of Maryland has been awarded $9 million through the Teacher Quality Partnership grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This funding will help to immediately address the teacher shortage and support initiatives that support growth and foster development.
