@TheZodiacHeir If you really feel this way you should create your own world-class medical schools and stop taking spots from White and Asian students. While you’re at it, how about separate water fountains, public transportation, and restaurants?

This is why I tell people that there is no solution to racism. Black folks saw an issue in their community, applied themselves, studied and organized in order to solve it and now that they have started to apply the solution, they get sued for racial discrimination.

@realObamaSucks @originalGCL @rpondiscio “It’s why the rigor continues to be increased” we now expect way more of students which in turns means we expect way more of teachers not only in academics but in engagement. That leads to teacher burnout which leads to attrition which impacts education success

@realObamaSucks @originalGCL @rpondiscio Well that’s completely false today’s students are far smarter than the students of yesteryear which is why rigor has had to improve. At hand however is Americas inability to provide access to high quality education due to lack of funding to train and retain high quality educators

@AP_Allen06 @originalGCL @rpondiscio "Quality education was only accessible to the wealthy." Yes, but basic education was superior to basic education today. And "quality education" today is inferior to even basic education in the past.

@realObamaSucks @originalGCL @rpondiscio Stay on topic you said “Americas education WAS number 1”….I said that was inflated because very few could obtain education either through discriminatory practices for minorities and students with disabilities or due to socioeconomic status the poor had little to no access.

@AP_Allen06 @originalGCL @rpondiscio That's a false claim. Most ppl who went to school were extremely poor and it was widely common and normal for people to not go to college and only have a high school or lower education. That's weird that you're in education and seem to not know this. Really weird.

@realObamaSucks @originalGCL @rpondiscio That’s a false perception. Our educational system was perceived to be the best because it excluded a multitude of people (sped, minorities, poor) reserving it only for those who could afford it or fought to be there. That system did not educate everyone (nor equally)

@TheBladeRunner4 @drterrysimpson Hello, hi 👋🏾 let me introduce you to a little saying that most black families have to teach their children growing up in society “you have to work twice as hard to get half of what they got” a saying that still rings true today, use that information and do with it what you will.

@drterrysimpson Spewing nonsense now. Nobody serious person believes blacks need to “exceed everyone else”. What u are doing is systematically denying applicants the opportunity to demonstrate the traits you value so much, based specifically on their race.

What is striking is that every one of your arguments eventually circles back to the same premise: that Black physicians are presumptively inferior unless they exceed everyone else by overwhelming numerical margins. A Black applicant in the 95th percentile nationally becomes “less qualified” because someone else scored slightly higher on a finite standardized exam. Meanwhile entire dimensions of physician quality — judgment, communication, professionalism, leadership, resilience, bedside manner, decision-making under pressure — are dismissed as irrelevant “woke” distractions. That is not a defense of merit. It is an obsession with hierarchy masquerading as objectivity. And after thousands of words, you still cannot discuss medicine without reducing human beings into racialized score distributions and declaring entire groups suspect unless they numerically dominate everyone around them. You keep accusing others of racism while repeatedly arguing from racial inferiority assumptions you no longer even seem aware you are making.
Andrew Branca Show@TheBrancaShow

How about if you just select medical school applicants based on merit, regardless of race? Who knows, maybe the entire medical school class will end up consisting of meritorious black people, right?

I disagree with the Department of Justice going after Yale School of Medicine over DEI admissions policies and arguing that objective metrics like GPA and MCAT scores should dominate admissions decisions. The evidence does not support the idea that standardized test scores alone identify the best physicians. The MCAT predicts performance on other multiple-choice exams reasonably well. What MCAT scores do NOT predict are clinical judgment, communication, bedside skill, or physician performance. Put another way: doctors who test well tend to do well on examinations. But test scores do not predict how well they care for patients in clinics, hospitals, surgery, or real-world medicine. Meanwhile, more diverse physician workforces are associated with better preventive care, greater trust, improved access, and lower mortality in underserved communities. There is no objective evidence that excluding minority applicants within a reasonable score range improves patient outcomes. We need minority physicians in this country, and we have the data to prove why. So when people insist that “objective measures” alone should determine admission into medicine — while ignoring the evidence about what actually improves patient care — I increasingly see that argument as less about merit and more about preserving exclusion under the comforting language of statistics. "Equality feels like oppression to those who are privileged"

@joshfontenot07 @Tipster22 @jemelehill You’re using the wrong baseline. It’s not the U.S. population, it’s the NFL pipeline. Black players make up 55-59% of the league but aren’t reflected in HC/GM roles. Excluding players ignores the main pathway. The Rooney Rule exists because that gap persists.

Like you said, that’s a difficult number to find, so I used a huge sample size to eliminate any bias or unfair numbers. That’s the only reason I chose America as a whole. A general starting point. And the total % of aspiring head coaches in the NFL? Yes. I would assume that number is higher than 15%, but i don’t know. I also know you can’t include players in the sample of black ppl in the NFL, because of about 800 reasons, which im sure everyone is aware. Sorry. Got the best info i could find to keep the information factual.

So just to be clear: Florida is trying to challenge the NFL on the Rooney Rule when there are 3 Black coaches in the NFL, two Black offensive coordinators, and four Black general managers. This is out of 32 teams. It seems like the system has worked swimmingly well for white guys, so … what’s the issue?
Attorney General James Uthmeier@AGJamesUthmeier

Professional sports are a visible example of a merit-based system, but through the Rooney Rule, the NFL requires its teams to use race-based hiring practices. We are putting Commissioner Roger Goodell on notice: the Rooney Rule violates Florida law, and it must stop.

No new taxes enacted by Gov. Spanberger since taking office Jan 2026. Democratic lawmakers introduced 50+ proposals this session for new/extended taxes on services, including: - sales tax on home/vehicle repairs & maintenance - personal property tax on electric leaf blowers/landscaping gear - taxes on dry cleaning, dog walking, gym memberships, rideshare, fantasy sports, storage. Most remain in committees or punted to 2027; none signed. Her Affordable Virginia Agenda (all passed one/both chambers) focuses on cost cuts like paid leave, grocery tax relief in some bills, housing/energy aid—no broad hikes. Budget avoids general tax increases (minor data center exemption end for revenue). Sources: governor.virginia.gov, lis.virginia.gov, Virginia Mercury, VPM, Pilot.

@NJBeisner While true the only way to be saved is through belief in Jesus and who was the Bible also makes clear that we show our obedience to Faith in Jesus by spreading the good news and doing the work that Jesus would do which would be feeding the hungry, healing the sick, etc.

“Jesus tells exactly how you and I and every one of our fellow believers how we’re gonna be judged and how we’re gonna be saved—by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, by welcoming the stranger.” This is what I mean by progressive “Christians” have a different Bible and a different Jesus. This is not, in fact, how you’re going to be saved. You’re not going to be saved by performing good deeds.

@DavidNo93 @DreadStorm3 @SonofManwithus No, baptism is evidence of your obedience to faith but the ultimate requirement is faith in Jesus dying for our sins and resurrected as noted in Mark 16:16 “but anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned” Baptism is simply proof that you believe who Jesus is

Dear Christians can we at least agree on these things? - Jesus was without sin. - He was crucified - He was raised from the dead - to enter the kingdom of heaven you must be baptized in water and the holy spirit Or do we disagree on that?

This young lady ordered Chipotle from DoorDash. The driver was timely and everything arrived as promised. However as soon as he handed the bag to the customer, the heat and condensation from the hot food compromised the paper bag, all of her food spilled onto the concrete. The woman was confused, she didn’t know who to blame for this. So she blamed the delivery driver, claiming he should have handled the bag better and it wouldn’t have tipped, she thinks if it was the restaurants fault the it would have ripped when they gave it to him. Do you feel he was at fault for this, should he be responsible for paying her back or did he do his job and deliver the food?

To my neighbor Trump supporters, if you know your Bible, do you align yourselves with the Pharisees and the Sadducees or would you align yourselves with the disciples of Jesus and why using examples in today’s climate that support your alignment analysis? #qtna
