@NJBeisner While true the only way to be saved is through belief in Jesus and who was the Bible also makes clear that we show our obedience to Faith in Jesus by spreading the good news and doing the work that Jesus would do which would be feeding the hungry,healing the sick, etc.

“Jesus tells exactly how you and I and every one of our fellow believers how we’re gonna be judged and how we’re gonna be saved—by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, by welcoming the stranger.” This is what I mean by progressive “Christians” have a different Bible and a different Jesus. This is not, in fact, how you’re going to be saved. You’re not going to be saved by performing good deeds.

This young lady ordered Chipotle from DoorDash. The driver was timely and everything arrived as promised. However as soon as he handed the bag to the customer, the heat and condensation from the hot food compromised the paper bag, all of her food spilled onto the concrete. The woman was confused, she didn’t know who to blame for this. So she blamed the delivery driver, claiming he should have handled the bag better and it wouldn’t have tipped, she thinks if it was the restaurants fault the it would have ripped when they gave it to him. Do you feel he was at fault for this, should he be responsible for paying her back or did he do his job and deliver the food?

On Monday, I was sworn into Congress with my hand on the same Bible I grew up reading 7 days a week. I am a Christian. And I am a Democrat. So are millions of Americans - many right here in Texas’s 18th District. My faith calls me to love my neighbor, serve the poor, welcome the stranger, and stand with people the world overlooks. It tells me not to mistreat those who were not born here, but to care for them. Trump’s political party owns neither salvation nor the Gospel.
