CHART OF THE DAY: US electricity generation mix on Sunday Jan 25th (full day data via @EIAgov). Gas accounted for 41%; coal added 22%, and oil a further 2%, for a total from fossil fuels of 65%. Of course, it is a snapshot, although captures a full day.
