YALICOS unveiled YALINext at its 2nd AGM, an innovative initiative expanding member value beyond savings and credit into enterprise growth and market access. It aligns member enterprises with regional trade opportunities while advancing the cooperative’s long-term sustainability.

The YALICOS 2nd AGM also reflected on the cooperative’s growth and progress. As YALICOS enters its next phase, it does so with a clear strategic direction: scaling member-focused products, deepening digital transformation through integrated systems

The Cooperative also focuses its strategic direction on strengthening policies and compliance, expanding investment activity, and building partnerships that unlock enterprise support and market access

📢 Meet | 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐲𝐨 (@ituryahikayo) — a community development practitioner, administrator, and accountability champion, one of 2026’s #CEPAResearchAndPolicyFellows. Innocent holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the Islamic University in Uganda and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Kyambogo University. He is deeply passionate about social accountability, sustainable development, and digital governance, and his career reflects a strong commitment to civic engagement and public service. In 2021, Innocent contested for the Masindi Municipality parliamentary seat, demonstrating his dedication to citizen participation in governance. He currently serves as Dean of Students at Kabalega College Masindi, where he oversees student welfare and mentorship. His previous work includes community advocacy initiatives that held duty bearers accountable for improved service delivery, positioning him as an active accountability champion and local resource mobiliser. Innocent is also a member of the National Coalition for Human Rights Defenders–Uganda (@NCHRD_UG), where he continues to advocate for the protection and promotion of human rights. His research interests focus on citizen participation, e‑governance, and institutional sustainability, with featured articles and projects available on his platform turyahikayoinnocent.com.
