@CFBKnights No way they should get a 1-1 deal. I thought 2-1 but I like TM offering a single home game 🤣

Dear @TerryMohajirAD and @RHiggins_USF Let’s sit down, face to face and come to an agreement to play again. Talking points: the first contract will be for 2 consecutive years. The 1st year at @UCF_Football The 2nd year at @USFFootball Then—all will know what it’s like to rekindle this Rivalry…and a “second” contract could be discussed. Okay, okay, okay….I’ll sit in on the meeting as a quiet observer (actually, making this happen is far too important for me to be quiet) Someone in the room has to have actual War on I-4 experience. Let’s do this! Love, Little Ronnie Johnson

@Bull_Disclosure It's fine. USF has never needed UCF and never will. They will always be a third tier university with a death trap of a stadium. Let them have their fun. We need to focus on bigger things.

#USF AD lays out desire to restart War on I4 for the betterment of the game and for the fans. #UCF AD declines - claims of inability to schedule. UCF fans applaud this as somehow cool and not cowardly, so they can play games against Pitt and think that’s cool or something. 🤷‍♂️

The War on I-4 has been dormant since 2022, but South Florida’s new athletics CEO is making it clear he wants the rivalry with UCF back on the football schedule. UCF’s response, at least for now, is just as clear. Story➡️on3.com/sites/ucf-spor…

The thing that’s so funny to me about this whole War on I4 drama is that I KNOW FOR A FACT if the roles were reversed and UCF was still in the aac and usf was in the BIG12 I know for a fact those guys would have ZERO INTEREST in playing us 😂

@CFBKnights Not begging to be a rival. It’s already there (which is clear to everyone despite your whole “we don’t care” campaign that nobody bought btw). It’s just good for college football to have rivalries and neither of us have it without the other

It’s hilarious to me that usf, who famously brought a shovel to our field when they left for the Big East and said they never wanted to play us again only to end up back in aac with us and get lapped by us for the BIG12, is BEGGING for us to be their rival again lmfao 😂
The Hartline Express 🤘@229SouthFlorida

@CFBKnights That treatment is reserved for the big guys though. You’re not a Florida or a Miami. If you guys truly would like to forfeit a rivalry you can. But it would apply even if/when we get invited to the ACC or Big 12.

However, this EADA database is worthwhile to report since it is standardized and includes all private schools as well.

The money flowing around #USF will not survive many of these. If a 24 team playoff cools realignment in some way, it would spell certain doom.

WATCH: "We need to keep our eye on revenue generation and protecting those rivalries and/or reinstating them." At this afternoon's Board of Governors meeting, #USF CEO of Athletics Rob Higgins talks about the importance of rivalries. Could USF vs UCF be coming back?

Per statement released by UCF Athletics Director Terry Mohajir: “UCF supports the Big 12’s new business development partnership with RedBird Capital and the opportunities it creates across the conference. This is a forward-thinking, proactive approach that will help drive future revenue growth. UCF Athletics will not exercise the one-time credit option.”
