IN POLITICS, especially in developing countries, the average person DOESN’T CARE who is in power as long there is PROGRESS & STABILITY. President @edmnangagwa inherited LOTS of problems… His administration also made LOTS OF POLICY MISTAKES along the way. I am one of the people in ZANU PF who was VERY CRITICAL of the govt’s bad policies & inefficiency. From passports, fuel queues, mealie meal queues, loadshedding, to currency issues, we vigorously pushed for efficiency & normalisation of policies… AND IT WORKED… ED’s govt came with REVOLUTIONARY policies that ended fuel queues, ended corruption & inefficiency at the passport office… They put an end to runaway inflation & currency depreciation…. And the govt managed to accelerate INFRASTRUCTURE development… The people SEE IT, the people EXPERIENCE IT… For me, & many others, the metric is simple: DELIVER & you will rule in peace & as long as you want… ZANU PF & the Official Opposition are united in making the 3rd Amendment. Even @nelsonchamisa has no problem with the 3rd Amendment. @BitiTendai & his group have ZERO political capital & they won’t succeed in selling anger to a population that’s happy with the STATE OF THE COUNTRY. Yes, there are still lots of problems, but the average can see that President ED is moving in the RIGHT DIRECTION, has done REMARKABLY well under difficult circumstances, & has a SOLID VISION & IDEAS to develop Zimbabwe. In many ways, the political climate is favourable for making the CAB 3! As for @LynneStactia’s handlers, there is no much enthusiasm for them because they are UNPOPULAR & they have no known record of delivering… They are opposing CAB3 because they think it’s a ploy to deny them an opportunity to the throne… I find it to be a very DUMB position to take, especially looking at the comprehensiveness of that Bill. In the name of unbridled ambition, they are opposing Amendments that are good for them, more so because they aspire to be Presidents.

President Mnangagwa has promoted Paul Tempter Tungwarara from being a Presidential advisor focused on Dubai to a broader role that now covers all regions. His responsibilities have also been expanded to include empowerment programmes. Dr Tungwarara has been involved in empowering communities through various government programmes across the country, including the Presidential Constituency Empowerment Fund. According to his appointment letter, he was officially appointed under the Constitution on 23 February 2026. He will serve a two-year term, which can be renewed. In his role, he is allowed to represent the Government in engagements related to his responsibilities. The letter also asks relevant authorities to give him the same privileges, support, and protections given to other Presidential advisors.
