It's interesting watching people underestimate you until they realize you were being humble, not incapable.

If White British people weren’t at risk of being replaced, I probably wouldn’t be bothered by the odd minority person. However, stepping outside and only seeing minority groups is an absolute travesty. I don’t know how people cope in places like London and Birmingham. To feel like a foreign entity in your own home is a disgrace. None of this is about ‘hate’, it’s about the love for your own… Remigration is probably one of the most loving, honest and natural things yet to happen. We all want to be surrounded by our own. This isn’t a crime.

I will vote for anyone who will let me smoke a £3 packet of cigarettes in a pub whilst drinking £1 pints of lager. And when I say anyone, that's up to and including Hitler, Stalin, Genghis Khan, Dracula, Satan and Skeletor.

@RachelT1722 @JimSpenceDundee Ridiculous. When I volteered at Oxfam the manager admitted they were making more and more on books since i took over books. Then she banned me from pricing anything at <£1. Someone came in and offered £5 for some fire sticks. Manager insisted on £20 and never sold them.

@JimSpenceDundee My mum volunteered for a hospice charity & did a market stall for them; she was lectured & threatened to be banned from volunteering by paid manager she needed to stop selling (donated) stuff cheaply despite having a warehouse full of donations that's sat for a year+. She walked.

My wife volunteered for 7 years two half days a week at a well known Foodbank. When volunteers asked to keep an old couch in the move to premises next door for a tea break, they were told they weren’t there to drink tea. Many volunteers including her resigned. Human nature eh🤔

The low-agency person does not lack strength. Often he has locked his strength in a cellar and given the key to an imaginary judge. The one who waits for permission has already enthroned another within himself. He says, “When they approve me, I will begin.” Who are they? The faceless choir. Parents. Teachers. Employers. Markets. Audiences. Tribes. Committees. Algorithms. Lovers who did not love us enough. Enemies who live rent-free in the skull. Ghosts wearing official badges.

The high-agency question “what would I do if no one was coming?” is this brutal clarifying lens that cuts through all the bullshit waiting-for-permission energy that keeps most people stuck.

I want to be really clear about what our aim is following yesterday’s historic victory. Win the next general election, and I have never been more confident we are going to do exactly that. What happening in Great Yarmouth was seismic. Turnout soared. We brought thousands of people to the polling station who have never voted before. We got more votes in this local election than I received in the general election. The implications of it all must not be underestimated. Despite everything Reform threw at us, we decimated them in every single seat. Farage said we wouldn't win one percent. He was right. We won almost fifty. The nine wards across Great Yarmouth are so varied. From Winterton in the rural north, to the urban centre of Great Yarmouth itself. We won the nine seats, and the borough council by election, but within those wider seats we won every single ward by a mile. If we can win in every one of those areas, we can win anywhere. As I promised, we are going to give the British people a genuine alternative - we are going to provide an option to elect people from outside the rotten political establishment. We did that in Great Yarmouth, and we delivered a landslide victory. That was step one. Now, we go national. Great Yarmouth First, then we Restore Britain.

[If you're not already doing it] Politely inquiring "why" when you're told "No" at work for a stupid sounding reason will probably net you a pretty rapid ~1-level promotion in your career.

Leo Kearse - see me on tour! Links in bio
Dear @zannymb, thank you for stating in this week's Economist that the idea that Somalians are less intelligent than Northern Europeans is "hateful rubbish". It doesn't matter what evidence people have to the contrary - this was the right thing to say. I think it would be a wonderful gesture if The Economist allowed an edition to be completely written and created by Somalians. This would be a great way to prove that Somalians are just as intelligent as you are and would be a valuable learing experience for bigots who spread "hateful rubbish", showing them that we're all one people, completely identical and interchangeable yet also diverse.
