To be honest I think Kenyans just have a poor negotiating skill. Many times I’ve been in uber or Bolt and the price discrepancy emerges especially when there’s traffic jam etc it’s only fair if you add the driver something on top. If you spend one hour on traffic instead of the normal 30 minutes it’s only fair if you add them something and most of the time I tend to meet them in the middle.
