I was laughing to myself about how much I love the OoT ramp stairs.
Why mess with stairs…just paint some stairs onto ramps 💯
SULLY@artofsully
nothing super fancy to show tonight, just some classic n64 style stair-ramps and 2D alpha-clipped railing textures 🙏

I just found a way to do it in 120 😒
Enkay 🤤@Enkaybee
I made this level and thought the minimum number of moves was 144. I accidentally did it in 136 and then spent an hour trying to do that again before finding a solution that only takes 124. I am still not sure that 124 is the minimum. #gamedev

@Jonathan_Blow If it's possible to simulate universes even just one level up then they will be simulated a tremendous number of times. The beings running our sim might be running hundreds more. Nested sims amplify this, but are not necessary.
English

@Enkaybee Yes but the argument that we don’t live in base reality requires that universes simulate universes just like themselves, thus the base reality is vanishingly small in the probability space. Which cannot happen if simulation is too hard.
English

The amount of "computation" required to simulate quantum mechanics on one particle for a tiny amount of time is truly ludicrous, essentially infinite. It cannot be done by present or future humans for any definition of "computation" we now recognize...

The computer scientist understands how closely simulations can resemble everyday reality, the physicist understands that the Universe, on closer inspection, does not
English

@Jonathan_Blow Does it? This is the bottom-most level. There could be an arbitrary number of levels going up from here. Seems consistent to me. (I don't believe any of that stuff, just saying)
English

@Enkaybee BTW if this is the hypothesis, it invalidates most of the reasoning the simulation hypothesis people make around a "nested stack of simulations", because the simulated universe has to become much simpler at each level of the hierarchy.

@Enkaybee T-shaped corridor + yellow paint, cmon catch up with the times dude

@beetlemoses 4 plates incline press?? Bro she cast a spell on that bar you're not fooling me!
