Direct Democracy in Switzerland could scupper the European plans to move to totally digital currency and ditch cash.
In a recent referendum 73% of Swiss voted to keep physical cash permanently.
Cash makes the financial control of the people much more difficult if not impossible.

Digital ID is coming to 🇨🇦. No we do not already live in a digital world with credit/debit cards and etransfer etc. Cash is still alive. The BOC has studied CBDC's. The 🌎 is pushing digital ID as it's needed for CBDC. 🇨🇦 has aligned with 🇨🇳 that already has a social credit.
