“Woke games fail because the woke don’t buy games” is a simplistic model that doesn’t accurately capture what’s going on.
The woke leftist cadre of gamers are like parasites. You won’t find them playing Relooted or Dustborn or ValiDate or whatever else even though they ideologically align with everything in there.
No, you’ll find them playing RE9, ARC Raiders, and Mewgenics. Why? Because they’re popular. Once they’re in “the fandom” they start pushing their ideology, demanding changes or sticking a flag in the ground and claiming it as rightful libtard clay.
Once they have the dev’s ear, unpopular changes are made, and the game dies, they’ll move on to the next thing.
A tick prefers a host swelling with blood to one that’s sickly and dying.
The point I’m making is these woke games fail not because libtards “don’t buy games” or “the modern audience doesn’t exist”, but because they never get in on the ground floor of anything. They take what already has an audience and turn it towards their fancies.
This is their modus operandi with everything under the sun.

In the early days of emulators especially with snes9x the one thing I didnt look for was accuracy, i wanted to make it look super smooth with those filters like super Sai and scaleFX. Now the thought of using something like that horrifies me.

If you think about this for more than 1 second there is so much wrong with this. Like what if there is a part of the game where there are heavy winds and managing your stamina to get from platform to platform is an essential part of the level design and you just circumvent it

Yeah, no. A more accurate comparison is a human who “learned art” by doing nothing but tracing.
Tracing teaches you where the lines go, but not why they go there. It teaches you the path, but not the terrain. A human who only traces has developed the skill of copying, not creating.
So when an AI is ‘learning’ art by scraping millions of images it’s not learning to be an artist. It’s learning to be the world’s most sophisticated tracer. It can remix the path it’s been shown, but ask it to draw something truly new, something born from experience, failure, or vision and all it can do is show you the average of every path it’s ever traced.
We mock tracers who try to convince people they’re real artists and regard them as thieves. We will continue to do the same to you idiots who can’t even be bothered to do the tracing yourself.

Only argument against generative AI is that it learns from human work so they call it 'stolen.' By that logic, every artist is a thief. None of them invented drawing, they went to school or studied others and techniques and built on it. Every musician learned chords someone else invented. Every writer absorbed styles from books they read. AI learns exactly the way humans do, by observing, absorbing, and building on what came before. It just does it immensely faster & better than humans That's literally how learning works with everyone The only other argument i've seen is people say it looks like crap. Look where it's come in only 3 years. It's already fooling most people because it looks so good. In another year, you won't be able to use that excuse either.
