The truth about "fairly priced" $29/mo SaaS: 14 months ago, I started building Kleio. Alone. No co-founder, no team, no funding. I code it. I design it. I do the accounting, the customer support, the sales. Everything. In those 14 months, I've paid myself ~$0 and spent ~$20,000 — half my savings — to keep going, all while raising my first child. Right now, Kleio does ~$4,300/mo in paid MRR, with another ~$3,800/mo in free trials. After ~$1,000 in costs, I'm left with ~$3,300/mo. Not enough for an average Danish salary (~$5,500/mo) yet, but it's starting to look like we're getting there. So to recap: 14 months of building, half my savings, and 10 years of domain knowledge to get to a place where it looks like I can pay myself an average salary. I also got lucky with timing: I started building in the exact year AI coding tools became good enough to make solo development viable at this speed. It would have taken a lot longer without it. I'm not complaining — I chose this. But I want to share this because I think people underestimate how hard it is to build "fairly priced" software. $29/month only works because one person is doing everything, with a decade of domain knowledge, AI tools that didn't exist two years ago, and the willingness to bet all his savings on himself with no guarantee any of it would work.

SEO Results Update (Path to 50k): Just hit a new high of 5500 impressions per day with the goal to hit 50k impression per day. I'm still 100% focused on adding leaf pages for individual channels and brands. I still have in the toolbelt blogs and tools. I'm going to try building my first tool this week but mostly I'm going to focus on continuing this strategy until I hit a plateau. I'm still in SEO jail but my leaf pages are starting to move up in position. I know it says 13.4 here but that's because I'm adding 3k new pages a day and they usually start out at position 50+ which pulls down the average. But the pages that we added weeks ago are starting to show up on the first page. My hope is that once I get out of SEO jail, my impressions will have a nice little spike
