The tool underwent an intensive two-year research and development phase, including a Beta trial with 30 small businesses. Enterprise Uganda is proud to have supported this journey by offering these businesses Business Development Services through two of our most effective services: the Business and Enterprise Start-up Tool (BEST) and the Enterprise Training Workshop (BEST). Join us in this online session to gain practical insights into how high-performing businesses build stronger #sales systems, improve conversion, and create more predictable growth. What started as a small shop with just UGX 250,000 has grown into a promising entrepreneurial journey for Wataka Annet. Using the knowledge and skills gained from our GROW Project ESW training, she expanded her shop and ventured into two additional businesses. From starting with only two chicks, Annet now rears over 60 chickens, supplying a premium market in Kampala. Her growth is a testament to how business skills can harness potential and transform livelihoods. #GROWProject #WomenInBusiness #EnterpriseGrowth

The saying that “when you empower a woman, you build a nation” proved itself once again today in Mbale City during the GROW Project business follow-up engagements. As women entrepreneurs who participated in the Essential Skills for #Women Entrepreneurs training last year poured out their hearts, one thing became evident: beyond business growth, mindsets have been unlocked, confidence restored and potential realized. These inspiring testimonies from this nationwide visit are still loading. 🔥 1/ #GROWProject #WomenInBusiness #EnterpriseGrowth

Today, we hosted the National Business Development Services (BDS) Strategy Framework 2026–2030 Stakeholder Consultation and Validation Meeting at the BDS Centre of Excellence (CoE), led by @mtic_uganda and @mofpedU. The engagement brought together MDAs and key private sector stakeholders to review, refine, and validate the draft as BDS remains critical in supporting enterprise survival, productivity, market access, innovation, and inclusive economic transformation. This updated framework seeks to advance a sustainable, inclusive, competitive, and growth-oriented private sector by strengthening the coordination, quality, and impact of Business Development Services in Uganda. #BDSFramework #EnterpriseGrowth #EconomicTransformation

Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
We have joined key Business Development Service (BDS) stakeholders from different sectors of the Ugandan economy to discuss and validate the National BDS Framework 2026-2030. This is happening at @EntUganda headquarters in Butabika, Kampala, where different players are dissecting the capacity of ecosystem in promoting growth of private sector in Uganda. 🏹As the country aims to achieve a Tenfold growth, micro, small and medium (MSMEs) must operate efficiently, make profits and grow. This will rely heavily on the effectiveness of the BDS they receive. Participants in the working meeting are talking about streamlining the ecosystem, from aligning data on BDS stakeholders to devising strategies which support individual business interests as well as national economic interests. 📌BDS should enable enterprises to tap into the national, regional and international opportunities, including EAC Common market, AfCTA and favorable global export markets.
