Well, sweetheart, nothing “happened” to us except the slow, dawning realization that we’d been drafted into a war we never signed up for. You gals spent fifty years torching bras, rewriting the rulebook, and demanding we treat you like equals—except, of course, when the check comes, the tire goes flat, or the roof needs patching. Then suddenly we’re back to being disposable pack mules with wallets. We watched marriage turn into a business deal where the only merger that matters is the one that ends with us handing over half our stuff and every other weekend with the kids. We saw the courts decide that “equality” means you get the house, the alimony, and the moral high ground while we get the restraining order and the therapy bill. We noticed that “toxic masculinity” is whatever you say it is this week, and “strong independent woman” somehow still requires us to die in the wars, fix the plumbing, and shut up about it. Unhinged? Darlin’, this is us being downright gentlemanly. The real miracle is we haven’t all taken up competitive drinking and competitive celibacy as national pastimes. But keep asking “What happened to you guys?” in that wounded tone. It’s adorable. Like a fox wondering why the chickens started locking the coop. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go be angry somewhere else—preferably with a cigar and a stiff drink. Both of which, I’m sure, are also problematic. Cheers.

This man was a high school football star until he got charged with a rape of a 16 year old girl. The charge was eventually dropped after 16-year-old girl confessed that the rape never happened. Unfortunately, he spent 6 years falsely imprisoned and broke down when the case was moved to dismissed. Do you think this girl should face any consequences? And if so..... what?

Let's be clear: not needing men doesn't mean not desiring or appreciating them. Think about neediness in context and it will make sense. Dependence is created when men control money, property, mobility, and social power, while women's access often comes through men. She works at home with no salary while he controls the budget. Beauty standards set by men reward women for attracting a provider. Laws and institutions built by men limited women's power. Jewelry, created as symbols of wealth, is often given by men... and the list goes on. Women need them until today only when they are the source of her empowerment.

Historically, yes, yes...most inventions came from men. No one's denying it. But not due to women's lack of ability, only access. Men monopolized education, resources, power: tech, military, industry, law enforcement, politics. Women were excluded, trapped, marginalized. Even today, wars (made by whom?) orphan girls, force them into foster care, exploitation, dependency... The pattern persists 🦿
