@thegamersjoint I firmly believe that’s the large chunk of it. They just cancelled a game that was going to tie to the game, that’s going to result in core rewrites in areas let alone any other direction changes that now have to come along with that. It’s quite unfortunate

I really hope that after the release of Kingdom Hearts IV the team can get consistency down and hope that it’s only because of the mass Reboot phase that SE are going through that explains this massive gap. By the time IV releases, it’ll likely be close on a decade since KH3 released and really any NEW KH content for that matter, that’s kind of insane given its SE 3rd most successful IP with a dedicated team. Easily the biggest most quietest gap of the franchises history. Man I SORELY miss the release cycle of the first 10 years of Kingdom Hearts… the development landscape is so different now, taking literal chapters of life just to receive a follow up. We’ll likely never get back to that, but it has to be better than whatever’s been going on for the past 6-7 years 💀

Please don’t. Studios will never do anime justice. True, talented hardcore fans need to embrace AI for live action anime. Some AI clips of Dragon Ball and Naruto are already outshining studio live-action and putting it to shame. Then you remove the fillers, leaving only boss battles and disappointment. Casting sucks. Costumes suck. Fights suck. Visuals suck. All boss fights are ruined. Examples: Avatar, Bleach, Kenshin, One Piece. None of them did justice to the anime. 🙏🏼

Dragon Quest XII announced in May 2021. Kingdom Hearts 4 announced in April 2022. DQ12 just a logo and 0 trailers. KH4 last trailer 4 years ago, few screenshots almost year ago as damage control. This year is DQ 40th anniversary. 2027 is KH 25th anniversary. We need BIG NEWS

@tradgore Only thing to me is that it doesn’t do a great job of explaining stands that well initially, but that can easily be buffed out by the anime adaptation I still think personally that people should check out Parts 1-6 before it, but I don’t put people on blast for starting there
