@SigmaTechRBLX Brainrot games get pushed because ez loops where lobotomized children are recognised via QPTR, so Roblox’s algorithm boosts them Meanwhile actual high-quality games get the wrong audience -> QPTR drops -> the algorithm stops pushing them The metric rewards low effort design 🤡

You know, after launching a game and seeing how QPTR drops dramatically just bc of new user influx, sometimes I feel like QPTR is a bad metric that doesn't really measure users having fun. You're literally penalized for growing. QPTR = >3-minute plays ÷ Home Rec. Impressions We see data that ~3% of new users join and then leave mid-onboarding just to check out the game. However, when they return at a convenient time, they have a higher probability of completing onboarding than the average new user. QPTR does not capture this behavior. User peeks the game for a few seconds then comes back when they want to play. The developer would literally be penalized for this even though their returning visit counts as an engagement over 3 minutes. This really needs more attention from Roblox Data Science @robloxdevrel because it directly affects algorithm placement

@Entolecent Yep. From what I understand, you have to DevEx ANY earnings you had before the change in order to get the new rates. So anything you've spent on ads, etc. didn't remove from your old balance. Debating DevExing on an alt to get around this
