What is a normal amount for a 23 year old to have saved up in the UK?? 🇬🇧 I can’t lie I’m more into putting my money into investments rather than just saving… Am I wrong for doing so? 🤔

So as we enter what looks to be the next leg up in the markets ahead of the Iran agreement, Strait opening, oil dropping and possible rate cuts end of year, the most common question I get asked when the markets are running hot is “when do you sell a stock?” Before I get into when I do sell a stock, let me be very clear about something: I do NOT sell just because the stock price has gone up. Whether it be +10%, +100%, or +1,000%, the price alone means nothing to me if I still believe in the business. Selling based on price appreciation is one of the fastest ways to cut yourself off from true long term compounding. I would never sell winners just because they’re winning. That is the whole reason I bought said stock in the first place. My job as an investor is to assess the business, not the chart.

@Investinc_Intel I wouldn’t be suprised either dude. The long term TAM here is probably bigger than most companies I know of (with the exception of PLTR) Nether the less - best of luck with it mate, I’m with ya. Been holding and DCAing since $4 in 2022 😀👍🏻

Post was intentionally exaggerated a bit but since we bottomed at $15 we will still new products like hormonal scale, international scale, Wegovy pill scale, and peptides being officially launched. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is $100+ with those catalyst by the time it has been a FY.

Totally agree mate. $SPCX @ $18B in rev, unprofitable, probably gunna have to dilute yearly to keep innovating and scaling - $2.T $MSFT @ $280B in rev, $100B in profits FY25, already scaled - $2.9T I get that in 2026 the markets are happy to pay premiums for founder led, disrupting monopolies, but neigh on $3T on $18B in revenue seems more like market makers are hanging the SpaceX bait out for retail to fomo in before becoming their exit liquidity. I personally would rather buy $ASTS than Starlink for connectivity exposure. Would also rather buy Rocket Labs as the end to end space company than SpaceX.

This is completely insane. How can a company IPO with no revenue and surpass BEHEMOTH companies that do incredible amounts of revenue. It really worries me. Bubble comes to mind..

So I have just over £40k in my Cash ISA, this is money I have saved up for a house deposit The likelihood is I won’t be buying a house for 1-2 years so…. Do I invest this money or leave it sitting as cash? All feedback welcome, thanks!

@DanielM_W @JamesP728 My house is worth 30% more than I paid for it in 2021. And cash is worth about -50% pre Covid.

@JamesP728 Ah fair enough mate I thought it was sitting idle. 1-2 years is a short time frame to allow a business to grows, I personally would buy AMZN or META as I think the downside is protect by the earnings growth. Just for me personally 😊💪

@CessiMUFC Everyone seems to take the same journey - want to start investing - look on YouTube - invest in ETFs or divy stocks - join Twitter - realise ETFs / divies are easy to outperform - concentrate portfolio - earn lots of money that you will never take out 😂😂😂
