Mastering climbing in Cairn, you’ll learn to gauge stamina from shaking legs and short breaths. A lot of work happens behind the scenes to make climbing feel satisfying. Each limb has its own grip, stamina, and pressure, all to make things feel intuitive, like irl climbing!
@SoloMission_OSR Armadyl Pog @TrailsRS is an underrated champion. Dude is going to surprise all of yous and will be the next best streamer because of the opportunities this man gets with this content! DO NOT SLEEP ON TRAILS. HE WILL FLICK CLUES AT YOUR HEADS AT INSANE SPEED
I've always wanted to run a huge creator event, so I designed Deadman Factions and Jagex said yes 😄!
Which team are you most excited to watch on Sunday?
What is Deadman Factions? - youtube.com/watch?v=Yt2oxm…
@TorkieTweets I love the immersiveness and just general brutality of the world. I like the quests and as someone that doesn't only play this game, it gives you a way to experience the game without having to put in the hours to compete with other players. I do prefer SPT over EFTPVE. But 1.0 so
It's almost time for our last Early Access update for 2025! Update #6 brings you survivor relationships and an all new morale system. We've been cooking this one for a while and we can't wait to share it with you...
@CohhCarnage Speaking from personal pain, I agree. Once the door closes, the game should register you are out of the game. I had one instance where we got downed in a three man fight, I managed to use the monitor to escape and on the last milisecond, I got killed. Lost all my stuff. It hurts
Got a random game design idea for Arc Raiders...
Read this and let me know: Should they change the final extraction mechanic?
Now I immediately want to say No. It's fine how it is. But after really thinking about it, I believe, design wise, it's flawed.
Because the mechanics of the game do not allow for instant looting, it is not possible to successfully down someone AND loot them while the green lights are on in extraction. It's not feasible because of the rules of the game world.
However, the game absolutely let's you kill and punch out players during this time, denying them of loot.
So, in its essence, the game has built a "trolling window" into its main loop. A 4 second period where players can decide, in some situations, to ruin another players round just because they can. Again, the only thing in the game here that would be gained is a small amount of XP (which, to be clear, you can use as a valid argument to KEEP the mechanic just how it is).
This seems... unintentional. I can't imagine that a team would want to foster this kind of behavior in their game. But I mean, maybe I'm totally off base here? Maybe that is the EXACT level of griefing-style gameplay Embark wants to offer?
Anyway, my suggestion? Any body, dead or alive, gets out successfully if the lights are green and the doors close on em'.
Seems OP at first but the if you think about it, the only thing it would get rid of is that final 4 second grifing that happens as the doors close.
But again... maybe that feeling of "Oh shit, I could lose all my gear in the LAST SECOND..." is a dragon that folks want to chase?
I'm curious here, tell me your thoughts on this. Wondering where most people stand on it. The general options here are "suck it up, part of the game" (which is totally valid, I wouldn't really mind if it wasn't changed) or "maybe this wasn't an intended outcome for this mechanic" (which means that fundamental 4 seconds during green light extract may want to be worked on, in some way or form).
Anyway, just for my info, what are you thinking there?
@OpiezRS@JagexAyiza has the team ever discussed renaming the staff? I know it wasnt intentional but the fact that there's censorship around the word both on twitter and on twitch makes it pretty annoying
The first episode of the W Anchors is out now! Huge SO to mr @LionLad_ for creating it and we hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to like and comment so we can get that pesky algorithm working!
