$NKE is a good lesson to trust your real life instincts. - If you see everyone wearing Oncloud / new balance shoes instead of Nike - You see everyone wearing vuori or lululemon shorts instead of Nike - Even Uniqlo / GU for casual/athletic wear instead of Nike Then the only place you see Nike are at your local Walmart or Ross discount stores. Nike has definitely lost its “cool factor” and when the stock is at 26 fwd p/e, maybe there’s better longs out there.

As I said, Iraq is a pretty flat plain country, Iran is not, the total personnel and equipment need will be enormous (~$1T+ expenditure). Do you think Trump would be remotely interested in this during a mid-term election year.

@EdKrassen Ok, understand this. If there will be any ground invasion on Iran - first you'll see min 500,000 US soldiers lands in couple of Gulf states with 1000 tanks, min 5 aircraft and 50 frigs and so many other things surrounded. And before that you'll see market drop at least 30%.

@EdKrassen With 3000-5000 soldiers, it's just a news headline. Till then relax. Iraq is a flat country - for that US deployed nearly 500,000 soldiers total through out the war.

Sure, the Dow rose 2.4% today, but gold rose 3.8% and silver rose 7.3%. That means in terms of real money the value of U.S. stocks fell. Expect more of the same as the consequences of larger federal deficits, a weaker dollar, and rising inflation continue to erode real values.
