Can someone document: when was the last regicide committed by a state before this recent episode? And when was the last negociator assassinated?

@tjmcaulay The rule must be modified to state that a receiver who controls the ball AND initiates and continues a football move before taking a second step has completed the catch once the second foot touches in bounds. The receiver cannot be penalized for initiating the move early.

@tjmcaulay The problem is with the wording of the rule, which should state that “after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly INITIATES (rather than “performs”) an act common to the game.” Likely clearly performed both arm extension and defender avoidance after step 2. TOUCHDOWN!

This pass is incomplete as the current rule is written and applied. He gets control and 2 feet down for sure. *After* that, he must maintain control and he *must* perform an act common to the game *OR* have time to do so. The key word is “after”. He does not perform an act common to the game after the 2nd step. He doesn’t get an additional step down and the extension everyone is pointing out occurs *before* the 2nd step is down so it does not apply. In real time, he loses control very quickly *after* the 2nd step, so the time aspect is not met either. I would speculate the Competition Committee will look at this and discuss whether to tweak the rule to make this a catch (I think they should), but right now, this is an incomplete pass by rule.

@tjmcaulay The most reasoned analysis I have seen, but I must ask: why was Isaiah Likely extending his arms if not to avoid the opponent from knocking the ball out, and was he not performing that “football move” after his second foot was down?

@atty1chgo @SVG__Collection Joe Zawinul is correct! On one video he uses his right hand on a keyboard that descends the scale from left to right and his left hand on a keyboard that goes up from left to right.

@jeffskoll Don’t know the details of your case, but have you heard about Breyanzi CAR T cells or allogeneic stem cell transplant? Either is potentially curative.

Hi Folks, I have been largely silent on X since April, when I last saw my oncologist in Europe. My family and friends know that I have been dealing with a severe EBV infection for some years. It has now turned into CLL (lymphoma/leukemia). There is no effective treatment for this in the US, though I’ve been working with experts and AI. There seem to be some with promise but they are still in FDA trials. The treatments in April have left me largely dysfunctional. But without treatment, life expectancy is not long, months, maybe a few years. Doing the best I can.

@jkagan1 On a more supportive note, the danger model of immunity was conceived of at the NIH and funded entirely by the NIH.

@Yuri_Ravens This year the Ravens score 35 PPG in their victories versus 20 PPG in their defeats. They give up something like 23 PPG in their victories and 24 PPG in their defeats. So you can see that when they lose it is because their offense fails, namely the O-line.

It’s not his fault the kicker can’t make a damn field goal or the defense was a runway for 9 weeks. Or the o line got absolutely dominated vs the raiders. Or Kyle Hamilton dropped a pick.

Alright man. Enough is enough. Some of you guys are fucking ridiculous. Lamar isn’t a robot, he isn’t going to make the correct read on every play and hit every throw. It went from Lamar needs to hit the check downs , to he shouldn’t throw to Nelly because he can’t make the catch, to why is he pre determined to throw to the open wide receiver. He has 37 touchdowns and 3 freaking interceptions. He pushes the ball down the field unlike any qb and can layer any throw over the middle. He makes the offense correct more times often than not because he evades pressure, reads the defense pre snap like no other and extends plays. Some of the commentary is aids around him.

It's really sad that so many young people who want to go into medicine get tricked into working for pipetting laboratories. Then we make them lie and say they enjoyed the pointless hazing that has nothing to do with clinical medicine.

@GvHD_Meade @hopkinskimmel I’m older. 25 years ago it was mocked by reviewers of an NCI Program Project Grant application. Luckily, it eventually was funded, and the rest is history.
