Wouldn't it be wonderful if every school, public building, business and workplace offered menstrual essentials in the bathrooms? Most don't, but there's nothing stopping me from providing my own visitors with some dignity in the powder room. #MenstrualEquity

@Carolin55162028 @JulieEGilmour Reusables are great provided you have the capacity to use them - we would encourage anyone who can make the switch to do so but it's important to understand that they don't work for everyone and aren't a cure for period poverty.

@EqualityPeriod @JulieEGilmour Would love to see councils support much more including reusable sanitary ware as well. Encourage much better healthy options for female menstruation

The pandemic disproportionately impacts on women and girls across the globe and locally, we have seen first hand how the current situation has exacerbated the financial and access issues that contribute to period poverty.

This evening the Exec supported my proposal to eradicate #PeriodPoverty in NI with free period products in 100% of schools. I wanted to thank Ellie Massey from @Strathearn_Sch who has been a highly effective advocate on this issue & all the campaigners, you’ve been superb👍👍

@C_Fitz_ We are a small voluntary group that is built to self destruct. We don't want to exist but right now it's necessary and we will continue to provide support as long as we are needed.

I've seen a new charity collecting hygiene products for mums who have to scrape their babies nappies in order to re-use them - so now there's a #hygienebank. I feels so conflicted about this...there's no doubt that collecting these products will help mums & others...
