@airindia No. The crew didn't ask me to remove it. They told me to switch off the laptop, and check in the baggage along with it. I switched it off and kept it in the bag in front of them, and they assured me that the bag would be received at the airport despite a laptop in it.

This is now becoming a recurring problem with @airindia In almost every flight that I have taken,whether it is Delhi, Hyd, UDR, JAI, BOM or AMD, the crew members demand passengers to check in their hand baggage as if it is a compulsion. Even bags with laptops or power banks.

It has now become a norm in @airindia that their crew coax passengers at the boarding gate to check in their hand luggage in the name of flight being full. Have seen it happen in 9 of the last 9 flights I've taken over the last 2 months. Don't know why they're doing this.

@airindia Spot checks can't be a SOP for every flight. If it happens consistently,it’s a systemic issue,not a one-off. Forcing hand luggage into the hold is a service failure,not a smooth flight experience. Also,isn't checking in laptops a violation of battery safety rules? @DGCAIndia

There was a time when #Stockmarkets used to celebrate #BJP wins in large state elections It's no longer the case as now wins are coming on the back of more and more freebies. This challenges long term growth prospects and infrastructure development in the economy. In effect it's a race to the bottom for all political parties in terms of freebies promises.
