I would like to offer a commentary on some people's reactions post 2024 election. 1) The disturbing videos, comments, and actions of people whose candidate(s) lost are due to a barrage of lies they were unknowingly subjected to. You can tell this because the things they are terrified of were never stated by the opposing side, only by the serial liars. 2) I watched one or two "meltdown" videos and was overcome with a deep sense of sadness because they don't realize the situation they have descended to. I was struck by the glee in the eyes of the people who assembled them and realized there is a situation that needs to be addressed. 3) I humbly recommend that the winning candidate(s) supporters stop ridiculing these people. Yes they called you all the terrible names spewed by the irrelevant media, yes they wished harm to you, but stooping to laugh at someone's misery does not help them and it makes you look like a heartless bully. Perhaps if you try and demonstrate your beliefs by treating each human, as vile as they may be (in the on line space) as if they had a spark of the divine in them, it might eventually resonate with your actions and they might be able to self- recover. 4) To the people that are so scared, repulsed, outraged, and whatever else is storming through your consciousness, I offer you a couple questions to help settle your mind. 1) Are you alive, breathing, and have your health? 2) Do you still have your family and friends around you that love and support you? 3) Do you have a place to stay, transportation, and access to a library of some sort? If you have some or all of these things, you are wealthy. Put down the social media stuff for a while, focus on the things you have around you that are still functioning and good, go find a good book to read, and maybe things will not turn out to be so bad. Please, from someone who cares about you as a human being, not an avatar, stop all the frantic rage, it is not good for your spirit. @AngelaBelcamino No human is perfect. There are things that the President has said or done that I don't like, but then again so has just about every other human. Expecting perfection will just lead to disappointment.

People are mad that Joe Rogan criticizes Donald Trump while still showing up at the White House. That’s not hypocrisy—that’s healthy. If you agree with everything the person you voted for says and does, you’re not thinking… you’re just following. Real support isn’t blind loyalty. It’s being willing to call things out and still want the bigger mission to succeed.

Life isn’t a straight line that goes from less to more; it’s a path full of curves, setbacks, and unexpected turns. There are moments when you feel like you’re going backwards, but you’re actually turning to take a better path. Trust the curves because they almost always hide a view the straight line would never have shown you.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to @andyweirauthor for writing an excellent book and Ray Porter for doing such a tremendous job narrating the audio version of "Project Hail Mary". I haven't been this invested in a story in years, and Mr. Porter's narration was like listening to the village elder tell a story that has been around for generations. If you have the ability, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook, it is a singular experience.
