As @JayBilas correctly points out, there’s a lot of hypocrisy in college athletics right now. It’s only when athletes begin to get paid that it’s necessary to have a federal law to “save college sports.”

@Isaac__NBA What do you think the motivation is? And again to be clear, since I left Memphis I always said it would be someplace I’d move to in a min. I think the good outweighs the bad but I’m not gonna sugar coat the bad.

@EricDeBo183 I’ve always said we have a tremendous drive issue & take offense to people that say we don’t but what I don’t agree with is the vein in which a lot if these conversations are presented & the motivation behind them.

It’s hilarious the things people think about Memphis that have never been here or have limited experience. They think it’s just one big dirty ghetto or something. I’m well traveled & Memphis has better looking areas & neighborhoods than I’ve seen in a lot of cities I’ve been to.

Very sad that a kid wants to stay at a school yet their “AGENT” says he can’t. Interesting how this works. “AGENT” obviously makes more money by making his “client” transfer. This stuff is so ridiculous. NCAA has to make some minor adjustments to the rules. Kids deserve to be paid for sure but it’s become so messy in this environment.

My thoughts… I lived in Memphis last season, Working under the Legend Penny Hardaway! It is a city that my family and I love - great food, vibes and people!!! Stay outta certain areas and you will be fine! ( EVERY CITY IN NBA) Build a Ritz Carlton to make all NBA Players happy.
