#11 Notre Dame football (10-2) declining a bid to the Pop-Tarts Bowl after being left out of the College Football Playoff is not the same as 74th-seed IU basketball (18-14) declining an NIT bid after being labeled First Four Out in the NCAA Tournament. Just stop.

Great talking to @IBCA_Coaches Executive Director & fmr @ENbballhoops coach Marty Johnson for upcoming @HoopsHall story. During which, he tells me IBCA surveyed 800 boys/girls coaches about shot clock in Indiana. 80% responded. 68% of that 80% (~54% statewide) favor a shot clock.

Preach! I’m an Illinois native. The state tournament is partially seeded. For example, what we would consider sectionals in Indiana is seeded by the coaches in Illinois. So at least the first week of the playoffs isn’t random. 35-second clock coming as well next season.

@RomeovilleKid I would also say this is why the IHSAA should seed tournaments. You have schools that coast every year to sectional and regional titles because of geography.
