@BenjiBacker @BasedMikeLee Top left photo is clearly being used for agriculture. Other 3 show places that are hardly ideal for anything other than recreation. The human family isn't going anywhere. 3rd smallest state, Connecticut = 3.1 mil acres. I think undeveloped wilderness can take the hit.

@hodgetwins @BasedMikeLee Visit some local BLM land, dudes. I'm my experience, much isn't IG worthy. These photos are sort of disingenuous. We can and should be using some of it for communities, businesses, energy production, agriculture, etc. Humans aren't going anywhere. We have an abundance of space.

@LDSMormon I'd agrue that over the years, the focus at the ward/troop level in the program became more about "advancement" then Scouting in general. A broad brush, I know. It's my perspective. It's complicated. Recognition is important, but some lost the point. Those that didn't, evolved.

The loss of the Boy Scout program may be one of the most damaging events in our country's history. When the focus shifted from helping young men become men to embracing a woke agenda, everyone lost. The program lost. The church lost. The boys lost something they desperately needed.

@busy_bee_me Love him. Tell him it's okay not to serve a mission. When the timing is right, tell him his choice is based on one person...Jesus Christ. Then suggest he ask Heavanly Father WHY, not IF, He wants him to serve.

Ever since we got a fence in the back, the bishop’s kids keep jumping the fence. They used to cut through the yard to get to the gym across the street. They routinely trampled the garden, destroying months of work. Ended up killing all our garlic. So, we put a fence in. Now they are going and jumping it now. I haven’t met a single bishop’s kid that wasn’t so severely entitled. Why are so many of them like this?

@LDSMormon I loved BSA. I'm not all that sad that we left the program. I worked as a SM for several years and loved it, but was frustrated that it was more about becoming an ES than BEING a BS. We still have the tools without the trail to Eagle. The trail is still out there go find it!

I loved being a Scoutmaster and helping about 40 boys get their Eagle Scout Award. Having been around hundreds of boys over the years, I know how valuable Boy Scouting was. Boys need a program specifically devoted to boys. When Lord Baden Powell created the Boy Scout program, he knew what he was doing. He saw what boys needed: direction, teaching, examples, and recognition. The church wisely adopted the Boy Scout program because of its intrinsic values. But the culture that wants to destroy everything related to masculinity crept in and ruined this beloved program. I remember going to Scout Camp several times and watching the boys just be boys. As soon as there was any girl around in any area of camp, such as being a cashier at the Cracker Barrel or a lifeguard or a merit badge assistant, the boys turned into idiots. They were easily distracted. Now, they have almost nothing left to learn how to be a boy and what it means to be a man and a father. This has nothing to do with demeaning girls or withholding something from them that wouldn’t be valuable, either. Still, the psychology of boys is now wholly ignored, and we have lost an incredibly beneficial program not only for young men but families and the nation in general.

@TrulyTexan74167 I served a stateside mission 30 years ago. Same with 3 of my 4 brothers. We all had "apostate" Elders in our missions... we had to serve with many. Many go without the proper testimony to serve. I've tried my best to discourage the "peer pressure" to go for years.
