Conservatives feel compassion for this woman having to watch her community being transformed by Somalians to the point of being unrecognizable. Liberals feel compassion for the foreigners and call this woman a racist. This isn't about racism, this is a TAKEOVER.

There was never a water main break at the Georgia State Farm Arena during the 2020 election. It was a diversion tactic to commit fraud. But there was some of the most compelling election fraud ever caught on video. There was over 1.7 MILLION original ballot images missing in the GA 2020 election, which prevented a proper audit and the authentication of ballots, covering up the fraud. There were thousands of duplicate and fraudulent ballots, all with the same exact marks, and signatures, and video of the same stacks of fraudulent ballots being run through election machines all throughout the night until Joe Biden cleared the margin of victory.

@QuantumGuard17 Not acceptable. We’ll be paying more to house, feed, and clothe these types of crooks, at a minimum—and in my view, that rises to the level of a “death penalty.”

The reality is you’re a handsome guy, and a smile would help for sure. We are our own worst critics. You are a child of God with infinite value and worth. Here’s a photo and a cartoonish version of me and my wife. Aging, losing hair, and wrinkles are all part of our mortal experience. Enjoy the ride and have fun while you’re at it.

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in January 1995. President Gordon B. Hinckley was the first prophet I sustained, and I have loved and followed every prophet since. My conversion was built on a foundation deeper than any single individual. This is crucial because when investigators build a relationship only with the missionaries, they often fall away once those missionaries are transferred or released. The Parable of the Sower perfectly illustrates this truth. It does not matter when we decide to follow Christ and His prophet. What matters is that we actively follow the Savior by coming unto Him with faith, a humble heart, and a contrite spirit. True conversion requires a daily willingness to change through repentance to become more like Him. This perspective also shapes how I handle criticism. While I take no offense when others use nicknames for the Church, I recognize that offense is sometimes intended. As Elder David A. Bednar taught in his talk, “And Nothing Shall Offend Them,” offense is a choice, not a condition. I learned this vital truth less than six months after my baptism. The key is how we, as members, respect the Savior by using the correct name of His Church. I am a better person today because I joined His Church, and I am profoundly grateful for the gospel. He loves us, and our greatest honor is striving to love Him in return. Finally, just as physical death is an inevitable part of mortality, we can also experience spiritual death. That, too, is a choice. Agency is the freedom to choose our course, but we cannot choose the consequences. Every choice we make carries eternal outcomes, both good and bad.

Why is faith in Jesus Christ so important? Why does God not simply reveal all things to everyone, making faith unnecessary? Does God intentionally obscure information to pressure a choice between faith and unbelief? If so, why? Let's start with Alma 41 for answers to these questions. At the last day we will all be raised, or resurrected, to a state consistent with the desires of our heart while in this life. If "the desires of their hearts were good, that they should also, at the last day, be restored unto that which is good...and if their works are evil they shall be restored unto them for evil...The one raised to happiness according to his desires of happiness, or good according to his desires of good; and the other to evil according to his desires of evil" (v. 3-5) God already knows our hearts. He knows our inmost desires. We, however, do not know our own hearts. But because of our experiences in mortality, the true desires of our hearts will be revealed by the choices we make and we will come to know who we truly are at the core of our beings. Abinadi speaks to this in Mosiah 16:1 "The time shall come when all shall see the salvation of the Lord; when every nation, kindred, tongue, and people shall see eye to eye and shall confess before God that his judgments are just." So what does this have to do with faith? Lehi speaks directly to this question in 2 Nephi 2:16, 27 "Wherefore, the Lord God gave unto man that he should act for himself. Wherefore, man could not act for himself save it should be that he was enticed by the one or the other...wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil." By not revealing all things to us fully, which would eliminate the need for faith, God provides a context for us to be "enticed by the one or the other" so we can, in truth, choose for ourselves. So we can answer the questions above clearly: Yes, God does withhold knowledge, pressuring us to make a choice between choosing righteousness or wickedness based on desire. Because we must make that choice, over and over again throughout life, without all the knowledge of God, our choices become a reflection of our true desires for good or evil, rather than a selfish race for the prize or fear of punishment. Those who genuinely "hunger and thirst after righteousness" will be led by the promptings of the Holy Ghost, which requires faith, to follow Christ. The good news is, we get to choose! We are not coerced by God. We have every reason for optimism and hope! If we examine our hearts and consistently push ourselves to choose good and seek God, He will send the Holy Ghost to enlighten our minds, direct our path, and help us grow into truly Christlike beings! Without the need for faith, this simple and beautiful process would not be able to play out. As I reflect, I feel to exclaim with Lehi "behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things." (2 Ne 2:24)

@DChadwickAuthor I’ll let it go when President Oaks (or predecessor) says to do so. In the meantime, I trust that President Nelson was speaking for the Savior, not himself. President Nelson might have passed on, but the Savior has not.

My fellow Latter Day Saints, respectfully, it’s time to let this one go. This is an initiative whose time has passed. I know many people still deeply admire President Nelson and wish to carry on his teachings and wishes. I understand and respect that impulse. But policing people’s language in this matter, both inside the church and out, is not only rude but also intellectually disingenuous. We leaned into the term Mormon since the days of the prophet Joseph Smith. We owned it and took it on ourselves as our identity. We did that, nobody else. We call our belief system Mormonism. This is how language works. Not only that, it makes us distinct from other denominations. This was the whole point of the restoration. Joseph Smith restored the gospel away from the apostasy that had been happening for almost two thousand years. A distinct and defining term for this is appropriate. Nobody believes we worship Mormon. This is absurd. There is no confusion of who members of the church actually worship. We worship Jesus Christ. I have never, not once in my life, been ashamed of being a Mormon. And neither should we. With all due respect to President Nelson, I implore you to heed President Hinckley’s wise words on this matter. But not only his, also President Monson’s: Dare to be a Mormon; Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm; Dare to make it known.
Peacemaking Saint@PeacemakingSt

Many people still refer to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Mormons. In 2018, President Russell M. Nelson gave a talk encouraging the membership of the church and the general public to address the church by its full and proper name. “Joseph Smith did not name the Church restored through him; neither did Mormon. It was the Savior Himself who said, ‘For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.’” This name isn’t new. We have been the Church of Jesus Christ since the Church was first established and restored. Listen to President Nelson’s explanation and teachings on the name of the Church 👇

This week marks the 20th anniversary of coming home from my Spanish-speaking LDS mission in Seattle, Washington. I was released May 10, 2006. My mission has meant many different things to me at different points in my life. About 9 years after I came home, I left the church, became a bitter atheist/x-mormon and have come back to the church somewhat (it's always complicated, but my church community has been so patient with my growth). I'm so grateful for the hardships and experiences I faced as a missionary because they've helped me through so much in my adult life as a mom, a wife, and in my interactions with my fellow human beings.

🚨 Calling balls and strikes, this is a good bill from Leader John Thune. He just filed cloture to force a vote on a resolution to withhold Senators’ pay during any future government shutdown. If it passes, Senators’ paychecks get locked up in a vault until the shutdown ends. No back pay for them while furloughed workers and troops suffer. Will 7 Democrats have the guts to own shutdowns alongside our troops and first responders?!
