@AnthonyDiComo I really think this is going to lead to Tyrone Taylor being DFA'd. You can't keep Tauchman off the roster and Benge deserves to be the regular right fielder.

Mike Tauchman continues to make the Mets' right-field decision difficult.
Tauchman, who's in direct competition with Carson Benge, is 2-for-2 with two RBI hits today. He's reached base safely in 13 of his 26 spring plate appearances, with four walks and four extra-base hits.

@Jrpugs here. Mets look silly retiring Beltran number after they let 12 different players wear the number since Beltran was traded in 2011 and had a guy in camp wearing the number. There are sacred numbers to teams and non-sacred numbers. 15 is not a sacred number to the Mets. HOF or not. No one ever wore Wrights or Piazza or Seavers numbers after they left.

Team Italy is working the phones today to call up another catcher to replace Kyle Teel, who is out 4-6 weeks with strained hamstring.
They must get paperwork to assure player’s heritage qualifies to play for Italy.
Their call up today is Andrés Annunziata, their bullpen catcher
