Finally made it to a Women's League event. PNM Women's League should just run the PNM. That event was so well organized and attended. They are on a different level to the rest of the Party.

The United Nations will be reconstituted along the lines of the BRI and SCO because their playing field is level and ours is tilted in our favor.
The UN will occupy new building on Hainan Island because it's much safer and more salubrious than Manhattan. It's also more welcoming: the US regularly refuses entry to UN diplomats whose political system it dislikes.
Hainan will be the world's diplomatic center, Hong Kong its offshore banking center, and Macao its gambling center.

I don't know how many policy debates in TnT end in "it's the culture". People don't realize that these Asian countries we idolize had cultural issues that were way worse. They fixed them by passing laws and enforcing then to change behavior. Only lazy leaders use excuses.

Singaporeans weren’t willing either they were urinating and popping in elevators, they dumped from high-rises. LKY didn’t wait for willingness. He imposed heavy fines, installed urine sensors in lifts, ran aggressive campaigns, and enforced relentlessly - that created willingness. Leadership owns it 100%. We haven’t had anyone willing to lead like that.

Yet the framing is still: yes, China achieved it, but here is why it supposedly does not matter that much.
That is the Western media reflex whenever China builds resilience:
acknowledge the achievement, then immediately shrink its meaning.
China is the world’s top oil importer.
In the middle of a global energy shock, raising domestic output to this level is not just an industry story.
It is national security capacity.

@LicyLaw Actual increase our increased reporting? I feel TnT went through this a generation ago when we had a similar increase due to awareness. Campaigns to increase awareness meant, we had more cases. With those guys in jail, we had a peak and now we at a lower societal level- not zero

Almost everyday in the court pages it is some hard back disgusting person on trial/imprisoned for raping or molesting a minor, often a family member. When will we treat this problem of child molestation and incest seriously in this country? When will we protect our children?

I really think there are some areas where flyovers could be useful though eg Hothersal & Wildey. My main concern is whether they will be maintained well. Of course, they are not a panacea to the traffic issues, just treating a symptom.

@jeniece_s Most people didn't actually vote for them, they stayed home.
The few PNM people I know who voted for them had personal grievances. They tried to get it resolved internally and the party was unable/unwilling to address. Jobs, sexual harassment (often for a job),some victimization

This definitely doesn't happen. Even if people have their fingers and toes crossed praying that you don't show up, they will invite you because they have to.

@PennyKam868 Without the ability to vent the issues internally, they will have to come out. A fair internal election would have meant various issues could have been addressed. The candidates would have been on the stump sharing ideas to solve them and then we'd decide. None of that happened.

The cult like ( but somehow organised and disciplined ) behaviour we see in the UNC now really started in the PNM and the disarray and public infighting was the way of the UNC. They've switched places

I think that all the PNM supporters who busy parroting the “who’s winning now” byline, criticizing the non voters and always ready to jump on my tweets with a balisier cape on should go down to PNM HQ and find out what the fuck is up instead of doin alladat.

@tashagill @expressupdates Not sure I understand you correctly but it still applies. It would mean that politicians would be afraid to speak out if they couldn't back it up in court. A rich person wouldn't care but I know I would be wary of being sued as an MP.

Publish PNM financial books annually and let members discuss priorities and expenses the way credit unions (another labor focused org) do.
