Because the selection is not made by the best hockey writers because their papers can’t afford to staff these events any more. So, many of the voters don’t really know the game. They look at numbers and Bennett has more of them. Big fan of yours btw.

The series obviously isn’t over, but I don’t know why Brad Marchand isn’t the favorite to win the Conn Smythe. Yes, Sam Bennett has 15 goals, and thats obviously great. However, Marchand has scored the two biggest goals of the playoffs for Florida... #StanleyCup
