If AI expands the surface area of problems we can tackle, it expands the surface area of people we need to solve them. Companies that lean in grow faster and take on larger problems. Larger problems need more human judgment at every layer. The math isn't complicated.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says don't listen to CEOs with a god complex on AI (lol, Dario) $NVDA On AI destroying jobs: "these kind of comments are not helpful .. somehow they became CEOs, you adopt a god complex and before you know it, you know everything" "ground ourselves to talking about the facts" AI will "generate hundreds of thousands of jobs .. trillions of dollars [to the U.S. economy]"

honestly it's nice having a non-evil ceo being part of all of us normies on the tl : ) just a normal guy chatting with us in lowercase with no intentions whatsover. no endgame, no marketing, just pure friendship and camaraderie. very refreshing : ) <3

@builtwithjon Totally agree Some of the latest OSS models are great for software dev as well, and improving at rapid pace

If Google releases a coding model that outperforms opus/codex I don’t think people are pricing in what that would mean

@EricSimons isn’t this the same story as when people said “if Google serves Gemini to all of its users for free, they’ll squeeze openai and takeover the market”? never happened

@EricSimons true but the model is only half the battle. the integrations and UX matter just as much.

@EricSimons even matching codex’s already generous rate limits would be a big deal, let alone surpassing them.

@jasonlk @amasad @garrytan @Replit For sure, many such cases on Bolt as well These are std features of AI app builders now (some of us even had these back when your DB got nuked!) All the more reason that the details matter, and moreover why named dunking on sec generally not good idea (ie you might be next!)

Yeah I saw that but a technicality So, so, so much has changed since then I can do today on @Replit in 10-20 minutes what I tried and failed to do in days and days and weeks of work back then Now we’ve shipped apps used 1,000,000 times and have two autonomous team members built on Replit (VP Marketing and VP Customer Success) and we build micro-apps in < 30 minutes It’s more than night and day. It’s like the dark side of Pluto and Mercury

I think that’s @amasad’s point. They are well past guardrailing the agent here and also have the infra to mitigate it when it does happen: - It was a year ago - The database a year ago in fact was fully recoverable and could be rolled back in 60 seconds. But the agent at that time was poorly trained on its own docs and didn’t know it (fixed). - Full separation of prod and dev now (related) - Don’t store (I assume) all backups in a single volume the agent can delete like here with this vendor Have had zero issues since

Slopus 4.7 beats GPT-5.5 on SWE-Bench Pro, FinanceAgent, MCP Atlas, GPQA, Humanity’s Last Exam, and some long-context graph tasks. GPT-5.5 wins broader coverage: terminal coding, professional office work, search, math, cybersecurity, very long-context retrieval, and ARC-style abstract reasoning.

I've hired over 100 people in my career and nobody has ever quit my team. I don't know if that's luck or not. But when I'm interviewing, I've always looked for low ego, high credibility. I think people stay when they see you actually care about where they're going, not just what they can do for you right now. If this resonates with you, I'm hiring nine roles right now at bolt.new. If you know someone who would be a fit, tag them below!
