When you don't shoot anyone for 10 games, the lobbies you get:

Hideo Kojima says he is not interested in using AI for game visuals. He is more interested in using AI for enemies to improve gameplay depth! “Rather than having AI create visuals or anything like that, I’m more interested in using AI in the control systems.” “For example, if you have 100 players, each of them will have their own habits and tendencies, their sense of control, how they move — all of that differs from person to person. “By having AI compensate for those differences, the gameplay can gain more depth. And in most games, the enemies don’t behave very much like real humans. But by using AI, enemy behavior could change based on the player’s experience, actions and patterns. That kind of dynamic response would make much deeper gameplay possible.” edition.cnn.com/2025/12/12/sty…

current gaming/ai situation

@BobWulff I just really hope that any game that implements shit like this does it in a way where later on if all the systems behind it go down the game can still function with a failover system.

I love killing grown men that have jobs and children as they are trying to get 5 million credits for the expedition. Killing all teamers in solos, live now. Twitch.tv/THump

Imagine a blackout in Stella Montis. A pitch-black map event that forces you to rely on your flashlight. Risky but rewarding. Yes or no?

It’s been a week since we announced Divinity, our next RPG, and a lot has become lost in translation. Larian’s DNA is agency. Everything we work towards is to the benefit of our teams, games, and players. A better work day, and a better game. Our successes come from empowering people to work in their own way and bring the best out of their skill & craft, so that we can make the best RPGs we can possibly make. In that context, it would be irresponsible for us not to evaluate new technologies. However, our processes are always evolving, and where they are not efficient or fail to align with who we are, we will make changes. To give you more insight, we’ll do an AMA featuring our different departments after the holiday break, in which you’ll get the opportunity to ask us any questions you have about Divinity and our dev process directly. We’ll announce the date in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you all happy holidays!
