The regime in Tehran is the principal source of terror in the Middle East and around the world. It tried to build nuclear weapons to annihilate our allies. It massacred tens of thousands of its own people. It orchestrated the attacks of October 7, 2023, murdered Canadian passengers on Flight PS752, sought to kill prominent Canadian leaders, and ruthlessly targets Canadians of Jewish and Iranian descent. It has shown no good faith in negotiations to change course. That is why Conservatives support the courageous people of Iran in toppling this terror regime and reclaiming their destiny after 47 years of the regime's occupation. Conservatives support a democratic, free and permanently-denuclearized Iran that lives in peace and security with its neighbours. And Conservatives support the United States, Israel, and our allies across the Gulf to defend their sovereignty and dismantle the clerical military dictatorship of Iran.

There is zero chance that Canada will ever become part of the United States. But neither will we replace our relationship with the American people, our closest neighbour and biggest customer, with a New World Order led by Beijing.

Our message to the Prime Minister: enough with the illusions. We need results. For a safe, affordable, and self-reliant Canada.

Today I met the Prime Minister to push policies to make Canada affordable, safe, and self-reliant. I also pushed for lower taxes on Canadians and shared my disappointment at the size of the deficit. I offered specific suggestions on how to bring back investment and restated the offer from Conservatives to help in the Canada-U.S. negotiations.

It is unacceptable for the U.S. to seize the territory of a sovereign country, including by threatening tariffs on other NATO countries. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark and we support its territorial integrity. Conservatives support NATO and Canada’s obligations as a NATO member. Canada should strengthen the NATO alliance and rebuild our own forces in the Arctic to combat threats also coming from China and Russia and to protect our seas, skies and soil.

Prime Minister Carney must explain how he has gone from saying China was Canada’s 'biggest security threat' before the election to announcing a 'strategic partnership' with Beijing after the election. His agreement will allow 50,000 EVs onto our streets jeopardizing our security and auto jobs. This follows him breaking his promise to 'negotiate a win' and get a deal with the U.S. by last July. Despite giving a billion-dollar taxpayer loan for Beijing to build our ships, there is no guarantee that tariffs on canola and other Canadian goods will be permanently, immediately, or completely eliminated. Meanwhile, Canadian pork farmers still will keep paying the 25% tariff. It’s time for Canadians to have a government that will put our country first and protect our security, our jobs and our sovereignty.

Congratulations to President Trump on successfully arresting narco-terrorist and socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro, who should live out his days in prison. The legitimate winner of the most recent Venezuelan elections, Edmundo González, should take office along with the courageous hero and voice of the Venezuelan people, María Corina Machado. Down with socialism. Long live freedom.

Asked about trade talks with the U.S. this weekend Mark Carney said “who cares?” He doesn’t have a “burning issue to speak with the President about right now.“ After calling an urgent election on the “existential crisis” of U.S. tariffs, he now says he couldn’t care less. Tough luck for the jobless auto, steel, aluminum, lumber workers whose “burning issue” is paying their mortgages without a paycheque.
